Sources indicate Red Wings could be in the market for a goalie, Jason Gregor of TSN reported Jacob Markström would receive a heavy pitch to become Detroit’s goaltender. The Red Wings need a goalie just in case It takes Red Wings prospect Flip Larsson more time to complete his game. Our sources indicate, Wings could look at Thomas Greiss or a possible trade some goalies that have been rumored to being traded, Marc Andre Fleury, Matt Murray or Tristan Jerry. This should be a fun offseason in Detroit.

Mortiz Seider was a questionable NHL Draft Pick by some last year at this time;
Seider had 22 points in 49 games at 19 years old, coming from Germany he looks to be a great boast for a Red Wings defensive core that has missed an impact defensemen since the retirement of Nick Lidstrom.
What others say;
NHL.COM
• Internationally, Seider skated for Team Germany at the 2019 World Championship where he scored twice in five games and captained his country to a gold medal at the 2019 World Junior Championship – Division 1, Group A where he was named Best Defenseman after leading all blueliners in points with 1-6—7 in five games.
• Models his style of play after Predators defenseman Roman Josi.
Kris Draper Detroit Red Wings Director of Amateur Scouting
“The first game he took a pretty good shot from Kirby Dach and we thought he responded well,” said Kris Draper, Detroit’s director of amateur scouting. “Everyone was wondering how that would go. He stayed on the bench, talked to the trainer and you could see a little fire there; he wanted to get back on the ice and that’s something you certainly love to see.”
Detroit Red Wings General Manager; Steve Yzerman
“Moritz had a real good year in Grand Rapids,” Yzerman said in his Zoom call following the June 26 draft lottery. “He will get an opportunity, whenever our season kicks off. He will get an opportunity to show he is ready to play. If he is ready to go, he will play. If not, he will spend a little more time in the American Hockey League. But he had a very good year and it’s encouraging to see the things that he did in his development.”
It’s known that Seider will have a chance to compete, question remains... Will Seider make the opening day roster whenever the NHL season kicks off next??

Which one would you like to see?
Per Detroit News writer Ted Kulfan; Yanni Gourde, Tyler Johnson and Alex Killorn would be points of emphasis as trade targets. Other trade targets in the net would include Tristan Jerry, Matt Murray (both from Pittsburgh) and Jake Allen from St.Louis Blues.

The 1954 Detroit Red Wings prison game was an exhibition ice hockey game played on February 2, 1954. The exhibition was played outdoors at the Marquette Branch Prison between the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League (NHL) and a team put together by the inmates of the prison. It was the first ever outdoor game played by the Detroit Red Wings. After the first period the Red Wings were winning 18–0, and the scores for the remainder of the match were not kept.
The original planning for the game began in June 1953 when the general manager for the Red Wings, Jack Adams, visited the prison while doing a promotional tour for Stroh’s beer. There, the warden asked Adams if the Red Wings would come play the prison. Adams agreed, but only because he never expected the game to ever actually happen. Some say that Adams also agreed as a favor to two inmates he knew, Harry Keywell and Ray Bernstein, who were both members of the notorious Purple Gang.

Sunday GREAT day: Leading the league in scoring became a regular occurrence for Howe. He won the scoring title six times. He was selected the NHL's Most Valuable Player six times. Howe's emergence as a star also led to his team's emergence as a consistent winner. From 1949 to 1955, the Detroit Red Wings won the league title seven straight times and were Stanley Cup playoff champions four times. #redwings #lgrw
