It is Dinner Time.

Come join us at Oakland Avenue Urban Farm for our annual farm-to-table fundraising dinner featuring foods from our farm prepared by Chef Nick George (aka Dr. Sushi).

The event will include a silent auction and a variety of live music by Zac Land Band, Gary David Strauss, Ningissa Makuta and DJ Rogers That.

Seating times are at 4:00pm and 7:00pm.

Your charitable donation of $75 per person gets you a place at the table. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible.

If you are not interested in joining us for dinner but love the work we do and want to support anyway, please click on the donation button found on our FB Homepage.

~The Evening's Meal~
First Course ~ Tomato Salad ~ Fresh vegetables with sherry vinaigrette.
Second Course ~ Vegetable Futomaki ~ Fresh vegetables from the farm, prepared for large sushi roll.
Entree ~ Oyokodon ~ Chicken and egg savory omelet over rice with fresh herbs.
Dessert ~ prepared by Chef Key Locke ~ Pear crumcake caramel drizzle and Coconut Pear Sorbet.

Meet the storytellers who are sharing at the 6th annual Failure Lab Grand Rapids. This year's event will feature:

Dr. Nkechy Ekere Ezeh - Founder & CEO of Early Learning Neighborhood Collaborative (ELNC). An international scholar, Dr. Ekere Ezeh is also a tenured Associate Professor of Education and Director of Early Childhood Education Program at Aquinas College. In addition, for the past 20 years, she conducted Professional Development and Parent Education workshops throughout the United States of America, Australia, China, Dubai, India, Japan, Malaysia, Nigeria, Qatar, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, and Zambia.

Chef Jenna Arcidiacono - Culinary Maestra - Her restaurant Amore Trattoria Italiana has been a West Michigan favorite for nearly nine years (and was recently named one of Grand Rapids Magazine’s top 10 restaurants in Grand Rapids in 2017). The only two things she is known for more than her bright pink hair and electric personality is her fantastic Italian cooking and her commitment to our community!

Mike Jandernoa was CEO of Perrigo Company from 1988 to 2000, Chairman of the Board from 1991 to 2003, and continued to serve on the Board of Directors until 2017. Mike is the founder of Jandernoa Entrepreneurial Mentoring. He is a co-founder of Bridge Street Capital Partners LLC, lead investor and Board member of Hopen Life Science Fund, and co-founder and Board member of Grand Angels. Mike is the founder and Chairman of 42 North Partners, a family office focusing on investments, entrepreneurship, and community. Mike also serves/chairs on numerous religious and community boards and committees as well.
