It’s been a long minute since I’ve laid eyes on a Whitetail magazine. How or why one showed up in my mailbox today, I have no clue. Honestly, I didn’t even know they were still around.

It instantly took me back to being a kid, walking into Walmart and making a beeline for the magazine aisle. I’d flip through every hunting magazine I could find—studying the photos of giant bucks, reading the stories, and dreaming about the day I’d hope to be part of that world. Back then, those glossy pages weren’t just paper… they were a doorway into the hunting lifestyle we all dreamed about.
