🩵 A Quick Bakery Update! 🩵

Next week is a BIG catering week here at Sarah’s Southern Kitchen, and we couldn’t be more grateful! Because of several large catering orders on our calendar, we’ll have limited availability for our regular weekly baking menu. This allows me to give each catering order the time, attention, and quality it deserves while still serving all of you with the same care you’ve come to expect. As a reminder, Sarah’s Southern Kitchen is truly a one-woman operation—I’m the baker, recipe developer, shopper, prep cook, decorator, dishwasher, delivery driver, social media manager, customer service representative… and about 8,283,995,949 other jobs. 😅

✨ Orders open Friday morning, so be sure to set that alarm and send your order early before those spots fill up!

I also want to take a moment to simply say thank you.

To my OG customers, my regulars, and every single person who has shared my posts, recommended my bakery, tagged a friend, or spoken my name in a room full of people… you are the reason we’re here today. Your recommendations have opened doors I never could have opened on my own, leading to catering opportunities with some truly incredible businesses, families, schools, churches, and organizations. There is no marketing campaign more powerful than a customer who believes in what I do enough to tell someone else.

Every referral, every order, every review, and every kind word has helped Sarah’s Southern Kitchen grow into something I once only dreamed about. I don’t take a single one of you for granted.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as I continue finding that beautiful balance between running the bakery, working full-time, preparing our boys for the first week of school, and saying “yes” to these amazing catering opportunities. Your grace allows me to continue growing while still pouring my whole heart into every loaf, cookie, cinnamon roll, and meal that leaves my kitchen.

🍂🩵 Fall has officially arrived at Sarah’s Southern Kitchen… at least on the porch! 🩵🍂

I may not be completely finished yet (because let’s be honest… I always find “just one more thing” to add 🤣), but I couldn’t wait to share how it’s coming together.

One of my favorite parts of this business is welcoming y’all to my home for porch pickup. I want it to feel like more than just grabbing an order. I hope when you pull into the driveway, you’re greeted with all the cozy fall vibes, feel right at home, and maybe even leave with a little extra smile before you head back down the road.

This little porch has become part of Sarah’s Southern Kitchen, and decorating it for each season is just another way I get to say, “Welcome,” and thank you for supporting my dream. 🩵

🍁 But that’s not all…

The Fall Menu officially drops September 1st! 🎉 I’ve been busy behind the scenes testing recipes, and I can’t wait to share what’s coming.

I’m so excited to announce that Sarah’s Southern Kitchen will be a vendor at the 6th Annual World Honeybee Day Festival in White Bluff on August 15th!

This will be our first time attending this event, and I cannot wait to meet so many of you face-to-face. We’ll be bringing a selection of our customer favorites, including homemade sourdough goodies, protein treats, and some special surprises along the way. 🩵

🩵 Happy Sunday, friends! 🩵

As always, Sarah’s Southern Kitchen is closed today so we can slow down, spend time together as a family, and enjoy a little Sunday Storytelling.

Here lately, the boys and I have spent a lot of time in the kitchen together. I’ve been teaching them how to cook and bake, we’ve watched movies, shared lots of laughs, made a few messes (okay… maybe more than a few 😅), and simply made memories that I know we’ll cherish for years to come.

A little life update—Skylar recently started school for auto body and collision repair! Most of you already know he’s been our family mechanic for years, so now he’s adding automotive paint and body work to his skill set. I’m incredibly proud of him for continuing to learn and chase new opportunities.

This week is also a bittersweet one. It’s the boys’ final week of summer before school officially begins. Dean will be starting 3rd grade, and Dawson will be starting 7th grade. It’s hard to believe how quickly they’re growing up. We’re soaking up every extra minute together before the backpacks, homework, early mornings, and busy schedules return.

One thing this little business has taught me is that success isn’t just measured by being busy—it’s measured by making time for the people who matter most. The bakery will always be here tomorrow, but these moments with family are the ones that become our favorite stories.

Thank you all for allowing me the flexibility to build this dream while still being present for the people I love most. Your support means more than you’ll ever know.

One of my favorite parts of owning Sarah’s Southern Kitchen is having the opportunity to give back whenever I can.

I’m honored to be donating our famous protein Monster Balls to this incredible Back-to-School Community Event hosted by Y2C Creation Studio! 🩵

On Friday, August 1st, from 11 AM–2 PM at Lakeview Park in Dickson, Y2C Creation Studio will be providing FREE backpacks and school supplies for local children, along with finger foods, drinks, games, and a bounce house for the kids to enjoy.

If you’re looking for a fun family outing while supporting a business that’s investing back into our community, I hope you’ll stop by. We have a couple of important updates, so we wanted to share them all in one place!

First and foremost—yes, we are absolutely still offering delivery! It has become one of our most popular services, and we’re excited to continue bringing Sarah’s Southern Kitchen right to your doorstep.

Recently, we had to change delivery vehicles, which has increased our operating costs, including fuel, maintenance, and overall delivery expenses. As we reviewed those costs, we also realized we’ve been significantly undercharging for delivery since we first introduced the service.

Because of that, we’ll be making adjustments to our delivery fees moving forward. Delivery pricing may fluctuate slightly depending on distance and location, so you may notice a small increase in the delivery portion of your total.

These adjustments simply allow us to continue providing a reliable delivery service while keeping Sarah’s Southern Kitchen operating sustainably. Thank you for your understanding and continued support—it truly means the world to us. 🩵
