Well… this one was listed and gone in under an hour.

That usually means one of two things:

1) I found the right buyer fast.

2) I donated a few extra dollars to the buyer’s happiness 😂

Either way, I’m not mad about it because I’m also not sad to see this slightly unsettling Mickey leave the building.

Always funny how the ones you expect to sit forever disappear instantly.

Who’s cross listing and what are you using?

Yesterday I was deadset on signing up for Nifty and digging into it even though I know it's on the expensive side.

Instead I tried FLYP.

Solely because it allows Facebook Marketplace integration, was free for 100 days, not even a credit card required.

Honestly… first impression was pretty solid. It allowed me to start my sync process on my PC, walk away for a few minutes and my almost 3K items were there. Another 30 minutes of selecting the ones I wanted to put on Facebook and I was done.

It also gives some pretty basic but cool reporting on which categories sell the best and which areas of the country you sell to most.

I’m not really active on a bunch of other platforms yet, so I’m still figuring out what works best.

I definitely see the value in some of the bigger cross listing tools—especially things like automatic delisting, syncing quantities, price updates, etc.

But for what I wanted right now… getting almost 3k listings copied over quickly and basically setting the foundation for free? That had me pretty pumped.

Not saying it’s the forever solution, but for a first test run it’s been hard to complain.

Don't Sleep on Books!

A friend was cleaning out a storage unit and passed them along because they were headed for the donate pile.

Proof that sometimes the biggest flips come from the stuff people walk right past. The best part? They were FREE.

A lot of people see old textbooks and think they're outdated or worthless. Meanwhile, there are homeschool families, collectors, teachers, and people replacing lost copies who are actively looking for them.

Don't sleep on textbooks. Sometimes the math looks like this:

Free + 5 minutes of research = $230 in sales.

I had one of those buyer interactions yesterday that reminded me why I don't mind a little extra effort.

A customer messaged with a question about a pair of earrings. Instead of guessing, I grabbed a tape measure, snapped a quick photo, and sent it over.

A few hours later they thanked me, accepted my offer, and bought them.

I see a lot of sellers complain about measurement requests, extra photos, or questions. Maybe I'm weird, but if someone is interested enough to ask, that's usually a good sign. I'd rather spend 30 seconds answering a question than let a sale walk away.

What's your experience?

Morning y'all

You ever wake up and immediately get the feeling that today's gonna be a good day?

Not because you have something planned or anything has happened yet. Just a feeling.

Today is that day for me!

Normally my mind is racing 100mph, I need coffee and I'm running against an imaginary stopwatch that I've put on myself for no explainable reason 😅.

Today I embrace this mornings calmness and take a second to reflect on all the things.

Brick by brick we're building our future!

Here's how much I've paid in selling fees in the last 90 days on ebay.

That amount may not be alot to some but I'd love to cut some of that cost and add it back into the store as inventory.

I've used shipping profiles on eBay for a long time, but I made a change today that should save me some money and hopefully some of you as well.

Before, my profiles were tied to specific carriers. The problem was that when an item sold, I'd sometimes realize another carrier would've been cheaper, but I'd already committed to the one I picked when creating the listing and creating the shipping profile

So I rebuilt my profiles based on size and price instead of carrier:

Small - $6.99
Medium - $9.99
Large - $19.99
XL - $99.99

Now when something sells, I can shop the rates and choose whichever carrier gives me the best deal.

Seems obvious now, but I've definitely spent more on shipping than I needed to this year simply because I picked USPS, UPS, or FedEx when I listed the item months ago instead of not committing to a carrier when creating my listing.

Anybody else doing it this way, or have a shipping trick that's saved you money?

I hope everyone had a great weekend and a chance to recharge the batteries a little bit.

Weekend sales for ebay are packed and ready to go to the post office, coffee is kicking in.

Every box in this picture started as something sitting on a shelf, hiding in a thrift store, garage sale, estate sale, or clearance aisle. Now they're headed all over the country to people who were actually looking for them.

That's one of the coolest parts of reselling to me—finding stuff locally and matching it up with someone who's been searching for it all over the world.

I've never been to a Pokémon drop. This morning I decided to see it was all about despite the horror stories and videos I see online.

It was a big success, definitely glad I ventured out of my lane and comfort zone.

Got the tote, kickball, toss & catch set, speaker, camera, keychains, and Poké Balls. Basically everything I wanted.

The best part about it...no one rushing and fighting for stuff. Maybe it's just my smaller city but it was refreshing to be able to experience something new and not leave with a bad taste.

Who else made a Target run today? Anything you were hoping to get that they didn't have?

I need some help from the silver experts.

I picked up a sterling 925 Sterling tea/coffee set in the original case through consignment and I’m trying to figure out what I actually have here.

I’m going to have it tested to confirm it’s real, but 4 of the pieces are stamped 925 sterling and the platter has another stamp I pictured.

The set includes four pieces weighing about 69.5 oz total, plus a heavy serving tray that adds another 4 lbs.

I’m also curious about identifying the set or the mark on the serving tray, so far I'm striking out.

Is it more of a collector item, resale piece, or usually just melted down which I would hate to do?

Ralistically, what kind of value range would something like this fall into?

Appreciate any insight from people who know this stuff.
