UPDATE: Buns is pending pick up for this weekend 💝 with a great family!

"Buns" is a very friendly bunny looking for her forever home. We took her in a while ago because she needed somewhere to go. She looks for attention.

With our busy lives, we are not able to give it to her. We would like to see her go with someone who can give her the attention she craves.

She is good with cats, dogs, kids and goats. She does get nervous when first picked up but settles right down. She will come with her enclosure (pictured).

UPDATE: Draco is pending pick up!

It's time for Star Stables Draco to find his next home. 💙

Draco is an incredibly sweet, personable boy who absolutely loves people. He has such a wonderful temperament and would make a fantastic addition to another farm as a herdsire or pet. He is registered with ADGA and has blue eyes.

At Star Stables, we breed our Nigerian Dwarf goats primarily to produce loving, quality pets, but it’s important to remember that Nigerian Dwarfs are naturally a dairy breed. Draco comes from great bloodlines and has the potential to contribute some wonderful genetics to another breeding program or family pet.

We would love to see him go to a home where he will be appreciated for the special boy he is and where his genetics can continue to be enjoyed. ❤️

We have decided on a name for our last little kid: meet Little Ruth. 🤍

Some stories are filled with joy, and others remind us just how fragile life can be.

Little Ruth entered the world healthy, strong, and full of promise exactly 2 weeks ago today. Her mama, Ruth—our sweet "Little Drama"—gave her everything she had. Despite every effort, we recently had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to Ruth.

Now this tiny girl begins her journey without her mama by her side.

Naming her Little Ruth felt like the most fitting way to honor the incredible doe who brought her into this world. We hope that as she grows, she'll carry on a little piece of her mother's gentle spirit.

The last few weeks have been especially difficult here at Star Stables. With the losses we've experienced, it's easy to question what we're doing or wonder if we could have changed the outcome. But it's also important to remember where these girls came from.

When we welcomed this group of goats to the farm, we knew they came from a less-than-ideal situation. We understood there could be unknown health challenges and that taking them in carried risks. Even knowing that, we believed they deserved the chance to be safe, cared for, and loved.

Sometimes rescue and second chances don't end the way we hope. That doesn't mean they weren't worth giving.

Little Ruth is part of that story. She represents resilience, hope, and the promise that even after heartbreak, life continues. She'll be bottle-fed, cherished, and reminded every day just how loved she is—not only by us, but by a community that has followed her journey from the very beginning.

Thank you for being here through the celebrations and the tears. Your encouragement reminds us why we keep going, even on the hardest days. ❤️

Life on the farm has a way of reminding us just how fragile and precious life truly is.

Just hours after saying goodbye to the second of the twin babies we lost, we came home to the most unexpected blessing—a healthy, beautiful little girl born to Little Drama (Ruth). 💕🐐

Sometimes the things we experience in life don't make sense. We don't always understand why heartbreak and joy can exist side by side, and we may never know all the reasons behind those moments. But this little girl arrived exactly when our hearts needed a reminder that hope still has a place, even after loss.

We're so excited to introduce the newest member of the Star Stables herd! She is already strong, curious, and keeping her proud mama, Little Drama, busy. Proud dad is Oberon, and we can't wait to watch this sweet little doe grow.

Sometimes farming is filled with moments that take your breath away. Other times, it's filled with heartbreak.

Over the last two days, we poured everything we had into trying to save two tiny baby goats. We stayed up for two nights, feeding them, warming them, checking on them every chance we got, and praying they would pull through.

Despite all our efforts, we lost them.

It's hard to explain to people who haven't lived this life just how attached you become, even after only a short time. Every animal matters here. We don't see them as numbers—we know them, we care for them, and we fight for them.

Today our hearts are heavy, but tomorrow we'll get back up and keep caring for the rest of the herd. That's the reality of farm life. It brings incredible joy, but it also brings moments of deep sadness.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our little farm and understands the love, time, and sleepless nights that go into caring for these animals. Hug your animals a little tighter today. 💙🐐
