Little comfort food to go with the stormy weather last night. Some Mississippi pot roast with mashed potatoes seasoned with Kinder's Cowboy Butter (definitely recommend adding this to your potatoes) and some sweet corn.

🔥🔥🔥 When its National BBQ Month and it's Memorial day weekend, you just know the smoker is going to get fired up.

We tried a new way of cooking ribs today that will probably be done again very soon. We got some delicious and meaty St. Louis style ribs from Morgan’s Northgate Market .

We trimmed them up alittle more and seasoned with Heath Riles BBQ Garlic Jalapeño and Competition Rubs. After the rubs had soaked in we put in the hooks ro hang the ribs over some Royal Oak Charcoal. The drum was needles up at 300 all afternoon. Once the seasoning was set on the ribs we wrapped them up with butter, brown sugar, Meat Church BBQ Honey Hog and Blues Hog Tennessee Red BBQ Sauce. Once they were probe tender with the thermometer we rested them tell it was supper time.

Onto the Mac and Cheese nothing real fancy about it besides we used our smoked Pepper Jack cheese and man did that have some serious flavor. Probably one of our best homemade Mac and cheese I have ever made.

If your ever needing a good homemade chip dip, try using Damn Yankee Texas BBQ Broadway Buffalo Ranch Blend mixed with sour cream. We did 1 16oz container of sour cream with 1 1/2 lid fulls of the seasoning. Mix it all together and enjoy with your favorite chip. We dipped some Ruffles original in the dip and it was instantly a rush of flavor.

Forgot to post this over the weekend but we ended the week just right last week.

Friday night we made some amazing shrimp tacos on the griddle. The shrimp were grilled up with a generous amount of butter, then seasoned with Blues Hogs Rita's and Fajitas. While the shells were getting warmed up they were loaded up with some quesadilla melting cheese and once they were crispy on both sides the shrimp was added. Definitely a fast and easy meal to do any day of the week.

I think next time we do this we will be adding some street corn dip to them.

Chicken wings on the drum smoker

When you get requested to make chicken wings for Mothers day, you try to bring your "A" game. Well thats what I attempted.

Today we made some chicken wings on the smoker, we got some delicious and big wings from Moore's Grocery and sprinkled some Heath Riles BBQ Garlic Jalapeño and then Heavy Smoke BBQ White Label Rub.

The drum was needles up at 300°f with some Royal Oak Charcoal lump charcoal. Once the wings had been on there for about 30 minutes we flipped them and turned the heat up to 350°f to get some nice crunch. They were juicy and crispy just how we like them.
