🚨 A LITTLE BOY WHO GREW UP TO SERVE HIS FAMILY, HIS COUNTRY & HIS COMMUNITY

Before he became Atlanta Police Department Fugitive Investigator Aubree Horton, he was simply “Clay.”

A little boy who grew into a son, sibling, friend, father, family man, veteran and investigator who dedicated his life to serving and protecting others.

This video gives you a glimpse of that journey.

Soon, Reform Room will release the full podcast with Mrs. Lesa Collins, Investigator Horton’s mother.

For nearly two years, Mrs. Collins has been fighting for answers about what happened before her son suddenly entered an extreme state of distress.

During our conversation, she discusses the circumstances surrounding his death, information she says was untrue, unanswered questions, and acts of harassment she says she experienced simply for trying to find out what happened to her son.

Reform Room Solutions Group is actively investigating this matter. Because of that, there are details we cannot share publicly at this time.

What we can tell you is we are making progress toward clarity.

But as we work for answers, we never want Investigator Horton’s final hours to become the only thing people know about him.

Investigator Horton was a father, son, sibling, friend, family man, and dedicated investigator who was deeply loved by many. In a life that ended far too soon, he accomplished a great deal, and that deserves to be remembered too.

Mrs. Collins is offering a $35,000 reward for information that helps determine what caused Investigator Horton to enter that unexplained state of distress.

No matter how insignificant you think your information may be, it could help this family finally understand what happened.

If you know something, say something.

Stay tuned. The full podcast with Mrs. Lesa Collins is coming soon.

🚨 UNSWORN DEPUTIES, AN UNCERTIFIED INVESTIGATOR & A CORONER FACING SUSPENSION: WHAT WAS GOING ON IN DOUGLAS COUNTY?

The Georgia Coroner Training Council has voted unanimously to issue a letter of intent to suspend Douglas County Coroner Renee Godwin’s certification for 180 days following a lengthy investigation into the operation of her office.

Considering what a coroner’s office is responsible for, this is not a minor issue.

A coroner’s office plays a critical role when people die suddenly, violently, or under suspicious circumstances. At scenes involving a , the coroner’s office has the authority and responsibility to formally pronounce death when required, document findings, and help establish what happened.

That work has to be done correctly.

Godwin’s office has faced questions involving deputy coroners working without being properly sworn in, an uncertified deputy working active death cases, complaints from grieving families, and death investigation disputes.

This is also not the first time her office has faced scrutiny.

In 2019, a Douglas County grand jury recommended Godwin’s removal after finding unethical and unprofessional practices.

Reform Room is paying attention because this conversation comes right back to Atlanta Police Department Fugitive Investigator Aubree Horton.

A LOT went wrong in Douglas County the night Investigator Horton died, and we have questions.

Questions about what happened before and after he was shot.

Questions about the investigation and information provided to his family. Lesa Lyner Collins

Questions about why the GBI was not brought in.

And questions about why Douglas County Fire/EMS treated Investigator Horton as deceased instead of attempting life-saving measures despite his continued breathing and without a coroner present to formally pronounce death.

Since Investigator Horton died in Douglas County, righting some wrongs will require cooperation from some of the same offices and individuals we already have questions for.

Hopefully, everyone will be cooperative.

Investigator Horton’s family deserves answers, and Reform Room intends to keep asking until they receive them.

🚨 WHAT CAUSED ATLANTA POLICE FUGITIVE INVESTIGATOR AUBREE HORTON TO CALL 911?

That may be one of the most important unanswered questions surrounding the death of Atlanta Police Fugitive Investigator Aubree Horton.

According to his mother, Lesa Collins, the family later discovered that Investigator Horton placed what is classified as an abandoned 911 call at approximately 1:12 a.m. on the morning of his death.

Collins says Douglas County E-911 was able to identify his location as 3385 Highway 5, near the Douglas and Carroll County line.

But according to Collins, no one was dispatched.

She also says the call was not properly transferred to Carroll County and, perhaps even more concerning, the #911 call was nowhere in the official investigative report she received.

Lesa Lyner Collins says they did not even discover the call until March 2026.

That raises an obvious question:

What was happening to Investigator Horton at 1:12 that morning that caused him to call 911?

What happened before he was later seen running through a neighborhood in obvious distress?

What put him in that condition?

And why was a 911 call made by the eventual deceased never documented as part of the investigation into his ?

Collins says there was “absolutely zero investigation” into what caused her son’s distress before he entered the home where he was ultimately .

That is the part of this case Reform Room continues to examine.

Because before asking only how Investigator Horton died, somebody should have been asking:

What happened to him before he got there?

Stay tuned.

🚨 BREAKING: ATLANTA POLICE OFFICER DAVANTE MATTHEWS SHOT WHILE RESPONDING TO MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS

A City of Atlanta Police Department officer is recovering after being shot while responding to a call involving a person experiencing a mental health crisis this morning.

According to Atlanta Police Chief Darin Schierbaum, officers responded to a home on Clark Howard Lane SW around 8:41 a.m. after receiving information that a person experiencing a mental health crisis was armed with a gun.

Police say the individual opened fire as officers attempted to handle the situation, striking 30-year-old Officer DaVante Matthews in the arm. Fellow officers immediately provided first aid and moved Matthews away from the scene while officers continued working to take the individual into custody peacefully.

Matthews was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery.

Police identified the person taken into custody as 24-year-old Michael Gates. Chief Schierbaum said Gates is expected to face charges that include attempting to take the life of an Atlanta Police officer. No other injuries were reported.

Officer Matthews has served with APD since September 2019 and is currently assigned to Zone 4 day watch.

Reform Room will keep everyone posted as additional information becomes available.

For now, we are praying for Officer Matthews to have a speedy and complete recovery, and we are praying for all of our officers to remain safe as they continue answering calls across our communities.

🚨 WHERE IS SHERIFF LEVON ALLEN?

Sources inside the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office have reported to Reform Room that Sheriff Levon Allen has been noticeably absent.

As one source put it, the sheriff is “nowhere to be seen and nowhere to be found.”

Meanwhile, we are being told that Chief Green and Major Roscoe are essentially running the show.

And here is where things get interesting.

Despite Major Roscoe’s own history, sources are telling Reform Room that she has been bringing the accountability hammer DOWN inside the Sheriff’s Office.

If that is accurate, we will give credit where credit is due.

Good job, Major Roscoe. Clean that place up!

Accountability does not mean we only report when someone is doing something wrong. If someone is stepping up and addressing problems, we are going to acknowledge that too.

But there is still one pretty big question floating around the agency:

Where is Sheriff Allen?

Because according to what we are hearing, employees are noticing his absence, and people are starting to wonder what exactly is going on.

Well…

If you want to know, stay tuned.

Reform Room is tracking what could be an upcoming outcome involving the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office.

And when there is something we can responsibly report, we will.

🚨 FORMER MIDDLE SCHOOL SRO ARRESTED AFTER GRAND JURY SAYS HE LURED A GIRL INTO THE WOODS FOR SEXUAL PURPOSES

A school resource officer is supposed to be one of the people children can run to for protection.

Now, a former Coweta County SRO is accused of engaging in the exact type of conduct children need protection from while serving in that position.

The GBI has 59-year-old Mike McGuffey, a former Coweta County Sheriff’s Office deputy and school resource officer at Smokey Road Middle School, after a grand jury indicted him on:

Three counts of Child Molestation

Two counts of Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes

The allegations are .

According to the indictment, McGuffey is accused of convincing a girl under the age of 16 to meet him at a gas station parking lot and in a wooded area off Pete Davis Road for sexual purposes.

The investigation began in April 2025 after the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office received information alleging McGuffey had made inappropriate comments toward female students and exchanged text messages with at least one female student.

He was placed on administrative leave and later resigned while the investigation was underway.

McGuffey turned himself in today and was booked into the Heard County Jail. The GBI says the investigation remains active.

If there are other students, parents or witnesses with information, now is the time to speak.

🚨 WHAT IS GOING ON INSIDE THE CLAYTON COUNTY JAIL?

Take a look at this video.

An inmate can be seen on the floor appearing heavily impaired. We cannot determine from a video whether alcohol, or something else caused his condition.

But considering what Reform Room was just told about contraband inside this , we have an obvious question.

How does an inmate inside a secured jail get access to enough contraband to end up like this?

Last week, Reform Room podcast host A.B. sat down with a former correctional officer and asked very specific questions about how drugs and other contraband continue making their way inside the jail.

What was shared during that interview was much bigger than inmates simply sneaking something through the door.

According to the former correctional officer, there is an organized contraband operation inside the jail involving significant amounts of money and allegations that some people who took an oath are benefiting from it.

This interview was not vague.

Names were named.

Who was allegedly bringing contraband inside.

Who was allegedly involved.

How money was being made.

And how the operation was allegedly able to continue inside a secured facility.

A jail is supposed to be a controlled environment.
People do not walk into a secured housing unit with drugs and alcohol by accident.

What Reform Room was told paints a much bigger picture.

Stay tuned.

Because this conversation left A.B. speechless.
And if you know A.B., you know that does not happen often.

🚨 HE RESIGNED WHILE UNDER INVESTIGATION. THE INVESTIGATION STILL ENDED WITH MULTIPLE SOP VIOLATIONS.

On July 14, Reform Room Solutions Group brought you the story involving Lovejoy Police Major Cornelius Webster after law enforcement sources provided information concerning an undercover operation involving multiple law enforcement agencies.

At the time, Lovejoy Police Chief Steve Wright confirmed directly to Reform Room that Webster had been placed on administrative leave pending an active investigation.

Well, we kept following it.

And now there is an update.

Major Cornelius Webster resigned from the Lovejoy Police Department while that investigation was still pending.

But his resignation did not stop the investigative process.

Reform Room has now learned that the investigation was completed and resulted in findings that Webster violated multiple Lovejoy Police Department Standard Operating Procedures.

Now, of course, that leaves one pretty important question:

What exactly did investigators determine he did?

That is the part Reform Room is going after next.

We are currently in the process of requesting investigative records through Georgia Open Records so we can review the findings ourselves and provide the public with the details behind those SOP violations.

Stay tuned.

Reform Room also wants to acknowledge Lovejoy Police Chief Steve Wright for the professionalism he has shown throughout this matter.

When we initially contacted Chief Wright, he confirmed what he could, acknowledged the active investigation, and appropriately declined to discuss information that could interfere with the process or the rights of the employee involved.

That is how leadership should work.

You can protect an employee’s rights, protect the integrity of an investigation, and still communicate professionally with the public and media asking legitimate questions.

Chief Wright did exactly that.

Great leadership.
