“We Don’t Celebrate Holidays Except for Two”

I saw a post that said:
“Merry Christmas is haram… MARRY ME is halal.”
Cute wordplay — but here’s the reminder:

As Muslims, our celebrations aren’t based on culture or trends.
They’re based on revelation.

When the Prophet ﷺ came to Madinah and saw people celebrating their old holidays, he said:

“Allah has replaced them with two days better than them:
Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.”
Abu Dawood 1134, authenticated by al-Albaani

That’s why we don’t celebrate Christmas, birthdays, New Year’s, or anything outside the Sunnah.

Two Eids.
Two celebrations.
Two gifts from Allah — and they’re enough.

Hold your identity with pride.
Hold the Sunnah with honor.
And keep your joy where Allah placed it.
