Here’s the lore. Foxfever was a popular artist for the movie "zero day" which depicted two teenage boys planning a school shooting...
I went down a rabbit hole on X and Tumblr.
Lois Lippert (online alias: foxfever) is a 14-year-old from Florida who was recently arrested alongside her friend Isabelle Valdez (15) and charged as an adult with attempted premeditated murder (among other counts) in connection with a plot at Lake Brantley High School in Altamonte Springs.
Before her arrest, Lippert was known on Tumblr as foxfever, a fairly popular artist in niche fandom circles. She created fan art inspired by the 2003 found-footage-style film Zero Day, which follows two teenage boys as they plan and document a school shooting (loosely drawing from real events like Columbine). Her work had a dedicated following among fans of the movie.
The connection to her real identity surfaced publicly after her arrest. Many online (including on X/Twitter and TikTok) reacted with shock when people linked the news stories to the foxfever account. One X user posted: “I refuse to believe she is foxfever I loved their art so much 😭”
According to court documents and police reports, Lippert and Valdez (who is transgender and goes by Jimmy) planned to kill a male classmate because he physically resembled Adam Lanza, the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooter. They believed that murdering him in a “blood ritual” (bringing a knife, flowers, candy, and ci******es to school) would create a bond that could somehow resurrect or “revive” Lanza. A tip from another student led to their arrest in late January 2026. Video footage from the police cruiser shows the two laughing and calling the experience a “bonding experience,” with comments about doing their makeup for mugshots.
A Tumblr user also uncovered posts from Isabelle Valdez’s account that revealed the depth of their obsession. Valdez wrote things like:
“He smiles like dylan, looks like adam, is absolute perfection. he is the perfect example of what can be made, he looks like a doll i adore him. I’m in the worse parasocial relationship with him and fox has been drawing me art of us. I’ve been following him around and what not.”
Valdez reportedly posted a video that included pictures of the boy they targeted.
This is all based on publicly reported news coverage and online discussions from the past week (March 2026). The case is ongoing—the girls have been denied bond and are being tried as adults, and they have pleaded not guilty. Lippert’s online art accounts (including foxfever) appear to have been taken down or gone quiet since the arrests became public.
