Well… look who finally showed back up on her own social media.

Yes, it’s me. The owner of a marketing company who hasn’t posted in almost three months. The irony is hilarious and also extremely real.

We went all in on the ballpark food at a Savannah Bananas game in DC in June and we're still thinking about it, to be honest. Hot dogs, chicken tenders, fries, beers — the works.

But here’s the thing: it wasn’t really about the food.

🎗️ A reminder for the marketers just starting out — and the clients who hire them: Exposure is not compensation.

For the young out there just cutting their teeth: I know the temptation, I really do. You want the portfolio piece, the connection, the chance to prove yourself. But when you work only for “exposure,” you teach people your work has no real value. Your creativity, your time, your strategy — they’re worth more. Believe it, and price accordingly... You have to.

For clients: If marketing is important enough to request, it’s important enough to invest in. Strong marketing builds visibility, credibility, and growth — but only when the people behind it are respected and supported.

The healthiest partnerships happen when both sides bring value to the table.
