Richard made it to Oriental, NC. Stage 1 of the trip to our new home, little Washington, NC. It's cool being nested in with the shrimpers and crabbers. Today the next leg, 7 hrs solo to our new home Havens Wharf Marina.

Think I can get a contract to clean the reflecting pool for even $1 million? Using about 300 of these it could be sparkling! I'd even leave 100 behind after I'm done for maintenance.

Finally, we are moving the boat on June 30! Excited to be closer so Richard can do his projects and we can spend more time back on board. We will also be getting used to TWO canine first mates now.

June 6 update - I'm still here in New Bern. 1st attempt to leave, I returned with one dead engine and one limping along at 4 knots. More to come!

We have a slip! We will be moving the boat from New Bern to the Washington waterfront at Haven's Wharf. Really excited because we'll be closer to downtown and only 10 minutes from the campground. That will give Richard a chance to finish up some small projects and the last big project which is replacing the heads. The refinishing of the doors is almost done, and a big leak behind the washer and dryer has been repaired. Tracey is excited because she'll be able to do some baking again, since the galley is much larger than the kitchen in the RV. Then we hope to get out on the water some. In the meantime, we have added a new member to the family! We adopted a senior dog who will be Angus's boat buddy. Say hello to Shadow!

Spending the weekend on the boat, and doing the usual upkeep and repairs. Does one ever get to the point where there's not a leak to be fixed? *sigh* It definitely feels good to be back on the water. Going out for dinner to one of our favorite restaurants here in New Bern in just a bit. More cleaning and repairs tomorrow, and then going out with friends to an open mic. Grateful for sun, fun, and good friends!
