On another note: is
October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and this year’s theme is “Everyone knows someone.” For that reason, it seems like a logical time to focus on the most widespread form of abuse: emotional.
I am a survivor of myself and while I am thankful that I was able to get out, I know all too well how difficult that road is.
This is a time to share data, information, resources, and stories in order to spread awareness and help try to slow the rates of DV from growing. And let’s be clear, anyone can become a victim or can be of Domestic Violence, not just women.
Everyone knows someone.
