Downtown Duluth, Minnesota is broken. The new parking situation is deplorable and is only hurting the businesses and the customers that those businesses are trying to attract to the dying downtown area. It costs almost $7 to park for 3 hours and tickets are $32 for missing the meter. To make maters worse you're not allowed to fill you're meter on the app for 10 minutes after you meter has expired. Oh, and for all of the folks that don't want to use cell phones or prefer paying with quarters they have removed all of the meters so you are forced to use the app. It's too costly for small businesses to operate in our own downtown area and there are zero incentives for business owners. Our business will be looking elsewhere to do business in the near future. Thanks Duluth!
