I just finished watching the dress rehearsal at Assumption Catholic School-LIMA campus. How sweet. So polished and ready for their presentation this Sunday-December 6th at 12:30 pm. Make the effort to go see “Letters from Santa”, a great way to start the concert season.

It’s been a quiet week, other than the snowstorm on Saturday. So grateful there were no major accidents or fires in our area around Thanksgiving. Basketball Season is in full swing this week. This week’s headlines include: A Snowplow Refresher Course. Deadlines for 2026 Bear and Turkey Harvest Announced. AND an article titled “Why don’t YOU run for office?”

3rd Annual Gobble Wobble is underway. Giving Thanks from Faith Lutheran Church in Durand was 80 wobblers on a crisp Thanksgiving morning.

DPI releases school report cards for 2024-2025. The new documentary ‘Little House Homecoming’ is released this week with footage from the Pepin County area. WI will join 35 other states to ban phones in classrooms next year. Christmas Concerts have been announced.

Pierce County Crash
Monday Nov. 24 @ 4:24 pm. State Road 29 near Road I in Gillman Township. Timothy De Jong (61) of Prescott was traveling westbound on State road 29 pulling a camper with a 2016 Ford F250 awhen he collied with a 2025 Ford F250, driven by Shane Rosendahl (37) of Menomonie who was traveling eastbound. Rosendahl was transported to a hospital in St. Paul, Mr. De Jong was not injured in the accident.

It's Official! The Color Run sponsored by AdventHealth has kicked off the 62nd Annual Fun Fest in Durand Wisconsin. The carnival rides are open, car show, vendors and of course there is all manner of food to enjoy.

Go Panthers! They are on the road to the State Tournament. Best of luck (to go with their amazing skills) as the Lady Panthers head to Green Bay. They are scheduled to play Thursday night (March 13th) at 8:15 pm.
