Before the locs… there were the mini twists 🌱

I originally did these as a little practice run before committing to microlocs. I wanted to see how I felt wearing my hair in tiny twists around the size I thought I wanted my locs to be.

Safe to say… I fell in love. 😂🤎

This was also when I started using my Bask & Lather routine, following the system in the order they recommended. What was supposed to be me trying something new ended up becoming part of my hair routine throughout my first year of being loc’d—until I literally ran out. 😂

Looking back, I didn’t know it then, but this really was the beginning of my loc journey.

Self Care With Lee: Pre-Cruise Maintenance 🧖🏽‍♀️🛳️

Nothing like a hair crisis right before vacation 😭😂 Thankfully, my mama came through because these DIY plans were NOT giving what I needed them to give.

Once the hair was handled, it was time for all my little at-home maintenance rituals 💅🏽 brows, nails, lashes + a little plucking and I was officially cruise ready.

I actually love doing these little things for myself. It’s something about taking your time, putting yourself back together and feeling like you again. 🤎

One of our favorite little family food spots that we keep going back to. Everybody can get exactly what they want, which is a WIN when your family doesn’t all eat the same 😂🙌🏽

Sushi, poke bowls, sushi burritos + plenty of ways to customize your order. And that fried salmon roll?! Yeahhhh… that’s mine every time. 🤤

And even though we didn’t get ramen this time, I HAVE to put y’all on — their ramen is easily a 10/10 and honestly my favorite ramen I’ve tried so far. 🍜🤌🏽 Definitely don’t overlook it if you go!
