The Media Fellows Program at Duke University:
An intense experience exchanging ideas; A Lifetime of Resources, Contacts and Collaboration
The Media Fellows Program at the Sanford School of Public Policy hosts mid-career journalists and media professionals from around the world. Fellows have the opportunity to compare notes and collaborate with their international peers, and to study and engage wit

h scholars, students, business leaders and policy makers. They can broaden their knowledge of contemporary scholarship in their area while immersing themselves in the intellectual and cultural life of the university. The core of the program is a series of seminars designed to address media practices and policy issues in a swiftly transforming global media environment. The program is customized according to individual participant interests and needs. Media Fellows may:
• Interact with students, researchers and faculty, in classes or in special seminars.
• Design an independent study plan, Work on a special project, or Prepare for a new assignment
• Share their own experiences and insights in the field in peer to peer programming with other international journalists and media scholars
• Fellows typically visit media organizations, government agencies, nongovernmental organizations, businesses and research facilities in North Carolina, Washington, D.C.
