I did not like listening to God’s word. In fact, I hated the idea of the church and would avoid it. But, He knew the right people to tap on so He can reach out to me. And He succeeded.

Paul went to Rome to proclaim the word of God. He knew all nations were called to listen to the God’s Word when they have a soft heart and open ears. However, he also welcomed the fact that not everyone would lend their ears. Even so, he was determined to continue proclaiming the gospel with confidence because He knew that the people in every nation will listen and receive Him.

May this be a reminder that even though the harvest is plentiful and the workers are few, we won’t be discouraged to share the good news and plant a seed as maybe in another day, God will use someone else to reap the harvest. This I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

One of the storms that happened in my life was when I flew all the way to the US without any extra money for me to use for the entire month. All I had were my luggage, documents, some food from the Philippines and a few items I bought from Walmart. I didn’t have much but God continued to strengthen me and provide for me. He made sure I am fit and healthy to embark on a new adventure away from my love ones.

At one point in his journey, Paul and the other 275 people were sailing towards Rome when they came across a very strong storm. He urged everyone to take heart, trust in God, sit down, rest, eat their food, and gain strength to avoid fatigue and be in better capacity to help themselves and others.

Spiritually, this reminds us that when the things get rough, we should pause, cheerfully nourish ourselves with the word of God and express our complete dependence on Him as we take care of our lives and well-being because our good health comes from Him.

May the Almighty Father continue to take care of you and provide for you as you walk through hurdles and trials. This I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Sometimes we are drowned by the noises in our head and these voices often tells us we’re not good enough or we can’t do it or we keep disappointing our love ones and we can’t just change.

And we get drowned or overwhelmed that we instantly shut our doors and prevent God from telling us who we are.

If we can just allow God to silence us with His love (Zephaniah 3:17), we can allow Him to show us the fullness of His plans (Jeremiah 29:11).

God chose us to do His mighty works by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Nothing in this world can tell us who we are not.

“If it’s big enough to worry about, it’s big enough to pray about.” It’s a saying I’ve come across a couple of days ago.

Often times, we get overwhelmed by our fears and anxieties and we begin having all these noises in our head. However, as followers of Christ, we are called to let go of these fears and present all our worries to God in prayer and thanksgiving.

Whenever you feel distraught, know that our God of peace which surpasses all understanding is at work in your life right now.

Jesus will carry your burdens just as He carried our sins on the that cross. Cast all your burdens to Him and He’ll give you rest.

David got stucked in situations where he felt powerless but God remained unwavered.

Let this be our daily reminder of how vast God’s knowledge is about our lives and whatever situation we are in right now. Whenever we are drifted away, he will come to our rescue and redeem us with his love.

This I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Paul’s sense of duty to equip God’s people became his primary job because he knows he needs to prepare them for the eventual return of Christ. And although he couldn’t do it himself, he entrusted that God would help them to grow in sanctity.

Like what his final instructions were to the church of Thessalonica, we are called to “rejoice always, pray without ceasing and give thanks in all circumstances for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus” (1 Thessalonian 5:16-18). Through this, our faithful Father will sanctify us so we could grow in spirt, soul and body.

As we continue to submit to the God of peace, may we encourage one another to remain in Christ, to do what is good in the sight of the Lord and detest any works of evil. These I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Returning to Jerusalem from the Babylon’s hands, the Israelites shouts in praise and joy as the builders lays out the foundation of the temple. Ezra, at the same time, hears the weeping and the cries of the people as they reminisce the life they had before their exile.

In this fallen world, we may be in deep sorrow because of the various trials in our lives right now. We can express our cries to God from all these pains. He wants us to know that we can find joy in all these for the testing of our faith produces endurance.

As stated in James 1:4, I also pray that in all our sufferings, our endurance will produce its perfect result so that we may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. This I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
