Where to Eat in Durham - PART 1 🍔

This month, I’m covering some of the best bites in the Bull City - and we’re starting with a local legend, King's Sandwich Shop!

Since 1942, this Durham staple has been serving up burgers, cheesesteaks, po’ boys, hotdogs, and so much more - and after finally pulling up this week, I completely understand why locals have been riding for this spot for over 80 years.

My favorite bites were the Cheesy Bacon Classic burger and the Crispy Chicken sandwiches, plus those crispy tots? 🔥

If you haven’t been, add it to your list ASAP - and invite me when you go so I can try more of the menu too 😂

My first time at The Black Market NC, but it definitely won’t be my last! 👩🏾‍🌾🍎

While it was a beautiful (but hot!) day, everyone was so welcoming, and I loved seeing so many Black farmers and entrepreneurs come together to share their craft and connect with the community.

The market runs every Sunday from 1–4 p.m., rotating between Raleigh and Durham - so follow their page to check out the full calendar and stay up-to-date on special events!

Every month this summer, Live It Up Hillsborough Street is hosting their Makers & Music Series - a community event featuring live music, a market of handmade goods from local vendors, lawn games, and fun activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Yall know I don’t love being outside, but I genuinely had a blast, so that should tell you everything you need to know 😂

NOW OPEN IN RALEIGH! 🐔🔥

I’ve been a fan of Botiwalla by Chai Pani for years when I lived in Charlotte, so when I saw they were opening at Raleigh Iron Works, I knew I had to pull up!

This James Beard award-winning Indian street grill brings the bold, authentic street food flavors of India straight to the Triangle - serving chargrilled meats, chaat bites, and so much more.

🌯 A few of my favorites were the Crispy Masala Fish Roll, Masala Smashed Potatoes, and Gobi 65 - plus they have a great lineup of drinks too.

This spot is a must-visit - send this to your foodie friends and go check them out ASAP!

A Raleigh classic is (re)opened for business! 🌻

Sunflower’s Cafe has been a favorite among locals since 1983, and now they’re back and better than ever at Rockway on South Saunders St. in Downtown Raleigh. 🥪🥗 (hosted)

We tried the BLT and Quinn sandwich, along with their House Made Lemonade Slushy, Strawberry Lemonade, Caramel Cake, AND Carrot Cake - and let’s just say I left a happy girl!

🍸 Plus they’ve got a pool table + full bar with craft cocktails, making it a great spot for a quick lunch or after-work drink.

If you haven’t been yet or it’s been a minute, go show them some love and check them out!

Where to Eat in North Raleigh - PART 5 🍣

There are few things better than a good sushi spot close to home, and Sake House Japanese Restaurant delivers every time!

This spot has been a staple in the Falls River area for decades, and their buy-one-get-one-free sushi special is honestly one of the best deals in North Raleigh.

The Dragon Roll is my go-to, but the Ninja Roll? A 10/10 🔥 and I don’t even usually get crab on my sushi.

If you haven’t been or it’s been a minute, take this as your sign to pull up!

You don't have to wait for the NC State Fair to enjoy a good funnel cake! 🎡 (hosted)

Funnel Me Crazy is North Carolina's only gourmet funnel cake shop - and with over 17 unique flavors to choose from, the hardest part is deciding which one to try first.

My rooms and I went with the strawberry cheesecake and butter pecan flavors, and yall, everything was so fresh and absolutely delicious.

And if you think the funnel cakes are the only thing hitting on the menu - the lemonades are fire too 🔥

Go check them out and tell them CeeBeEating sent you!
