What age did we start using our accomplishments to equate to our own value? Who helped us form those judgements of ourself?

If I were to try to sit and make a list of what I have accomplished in 2024, I’m afraid it would be a pretty short list. It makes me want to sit and be depressed and pity myself.

But in reality this has been the year that I have had to make the hardest decisions. ◀️
▶️ I have had to confront lots of things that were really uncomfortable.
I turned 50 😱
📅 I had to adjust to a new working situation.
I had to do lots of things I really didn’t want to do 🏳️

Yet these are not the things that define me. How I have faced each of these things define me.

This is a cool trend right now to stop beating yourself up and take a look at all that you have done this year. We tend to look at the all the hard stuff instead of all of the good. So this is a great trend to jump on.

Just remember we are more than just what we accomplish. So many valuable things in life can’t be measured or tied to a goal.
