Greenville’s GOAT Sports Bar made our date night a culinary touchdown! 🎉

Meet our MVPs of date night (I promise I'll stop with the sports puns after this one 😅): "The Hot Pastrami" for me, stacked with sauerkraut, mustard & mayo. Jamie chose "The Princess", loaded with spicy chicken, "GOAT" sauce, sautéed veggies & melty provolone on a pillowy roll. 🥪

The first sauce of the season is always the sweetest 🍝💜

We slow-simmered our garden tomatoes into a rich, cozy sauce and paired it with homemade meatballs made from our half-cow beef share. This is the kind of comfort food we wait for all year—and it freezes like a dream! ❄️

Batter up, Greenville! Lefty's West End Tavern is stepping up to the plate with a lineup that’s ready for your taste buds. ⚾️🍔

Jamie’s pick? The Corked Bat (Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon, Demerara Syrup, Walnut Bitters), while his Dad went classic with a frosty beer.

They couldn’t stop snacking on Buffalo‑sauced Springer Mountain wings and that sherry‑laced Maryland Crab Pretzel dip (seriously, they ran out of pretzel before the dip!). 😆

Mains were a grand slam too: the Ground Rule Double Smash Burger and the Fried Chicken Sandwich both knocked it out of the park. The next game night has just found its new MVP!

They're now open for lunch and dinner, seven days a week. Stay tuned in the comments for updates on allergen labeling and swaps for our allergen-friendly fam.

This year’s tomato haul has us getting creative 🍅✨

Instead of making just sauce, I slow-roasted a batch into oven-roasted “sundried” tomatoes—and y’all, they taste like tomato candy. Sweet, chewy, packed with umami, and perfect for tossing into salads, pastas, or just snacking straight from the jar.

Summertime in a bite: these Jordan Marsh blueberry muffins are more than just a recipe — they’re a tradition 🧁🫐

My mom and both grandmothers made these every summer when I was growing up with blueberries we picked from our backyard. Now, I’m passing the flavor (and nostalgia) on. These are made with our own fresh-picked blueberries from the garden and allergen-friendly swaps, like non-dairy milk and cultured cashew butter.

Pop into Turk’s Seafood in Mattapoisett, MA, for the ultimate all-in-one experience: a bustling market stocked with live lobsters, a sushi bar dishing out inventive rolls, and a cozy dining room where GF and DF menus shine. ✨

Since 1983, Turk’s Seafood has been a family-run staple, offering a unique blend of traditional dock-to-dish service and modern, allergy-aware menus. They honor their heritage by featuring New Bedford fleet fish (where my mom's originally from), fantastic sushi creations, and even gluten-free shrimp scampi!

I loved the Blackened Haddock Wrap, complete with sautéed onions, lettuce, tomato, and a mango tartar sauce. Mom's gluten-free Shrimp Scampi was made with cherry tomatoes, scallions, garlic butter, lobster broth, & a hint of cream, served over brown rice.

Pop into Pickerel the next time you’re in Providence, RI —trust me, it’s worth the hype.

We slurped up umami-rich ramen bowls, shared perfectly seasoned small plates, and wrapped up with the seasonal dessert special, accompanied by creative cocktails and mocktails. A must-visit for every noodle lover! 🙌

Food in order of pictures:
🍜 Green curry ramen - Spicy and tangy green curry paste, chicken and dashi broth, pork chashu, hosaki menma, negi, fried shallot, coriander, lime leaf oil.
🍜 Spicy sesame (V) - Konbu & shiitake dashi, sesame paste, seared tofu, spicy arugula & mustard greens, onion, fried garlic.
🍜 Tsukemen (Dipping ramen) - Seafood-based broth with mushrooms, onions, and fish cakes. Served with fresh noodles, pork chashu, & a soy-marinated egg.
🍥 Tingly Wings - Three whole Baffoni's wings, double fried and tossed in a sweet & tingly spice, pickled peppers, mizuna
🍥 Cabbage Caesar - Cabbage, yuzu dressing, parm, lemon, ichimi
🍥 Potato Salad - chili oil, local potatoes, spring onions, and puffed quinoa
