This is Matrix movie star Keanu Reeves. He was abandoned by his father at 3 years old and grew up with 3 different stepfathers. He is dyslexic. His dream of becoming a hockey player was shattered by a serious accident. His daughter died at birth. His wife died in a car accident. His best friend, River Phoenix, died of an overdose. His sister battled leukemia.
No bodyguards, no luxury houses. Keanu lives in an ordinary apartment and likes wandering around town and often seen riding a subway in NYC.
- He gave up most of the fee for the salaries of costume designers and computer scientists who draw special effects in "The Matrix" - decided that their share of participation in the budget of the film was underestimated.
- He reduced his fee in the film The Devil's Advocate" to have enough money to invite Al Pacino.
- Almost at the same time his best friend died; his girlfriend lost a child and soon died in a car accident, and his sister fell ill with leukemia.
Keanu did not break: he donated $5 million to the clinic that treated his sister, refused to shoot (to be with her), and created the Leukemia Foundation, donating significant sums from each fee for the film.
You can be born a man, but to remain one..
Keanu Reevesโ€™ father is of Native Hawaiian descent...

So this happened in Montana. I'm on my way to go to my interview this morning when I get pulled over. By a Montana officer. I am native American and my friend that was with me is black. Just saying. Both brake lights decided to go out this time. As he walked to the car and I was pulling out my stuff, he quickly said, "Don't worry about pulling anything out. I just want you to know that your brake lights are out." So I'm immediately upset, because I just got them replaced like last month. So I explained to him how Firestone wants to charge me $600 just to run a test on the wiring of the car. He looked at me like and told me to pop the trunk. He checked the lights in the trunk and tapped them, but they didn't come on. So he told me to pop the hood to check the relay box then asked me to get out to check the other one. Then worked on the wiring under the dash. He could've easily given me a ticket, but Officer Jenkins stepped out of officer role, and into mechanic role, and human role. to make sure I was straight. By the way HE FIXED THEM. Not everyone is racist, or a bad cop

In 1874, outside Abilene, Kansas, a young woman named Sarah Whitlock was forced into marriage with a wealthy rancher twice her age. His fortune came with cattle and land, but his heart was nothing but iron. He treated her less like a wife and more like property, his temper quick to rise, his fists quicker still. On a storm-dark night, Sarah slipped out of the ranch house with nothing but a canteen, a hunting knife, and the clothes on her back. By dawn, she was riding into the wide, merciless Kansas plains, praying freedom lay beyond the horizon.
The rancher wasted no time. He sent his hired guns after her, men who knew the land and carried rifles at their saddles. For days, Sarah survived on grit aloneโ€”drinking from muddy creeks, sleeping under mesquite, and learning to stay two steps ahead of the hunters who closed in. But desperation sharpened her spirit. She began turning their own tricks against them, scattering horses, stealing ammunition, and leading them into dead canyons where their pursuit turned into panic. The runaway bride was no longer preyโ€”she was learning to hunt.
By the end of summer, whispers spread through Abileneโ€™s saloons about the rancherโ€™s men found dead on the trail, their rifles missing, their pride shattered. Sarah never returned to her husbandโ€™s house, nor did she wear his name again. Instead, she carved her legend across the prairie, the girl who had run from cruelty and taught her hunters to fear her shadow. In 1874, the runaway bride proved that freedom in the West wasnโ€™t givenโ€”it was taken, with wit, grit, and the will to never bow again.

Before it was known as Mount Rushmore, the Lakota people called it Thunkรกsila ล รกkpe Pahรก, or Six Grandfathers Mountain. This sacred site was a place of prayer, reflection, and spiritual significance for the Native American tribes of the Great Plains. The site was used for centuries to honor the spirits of the ancestors, who held deep cultural and spiritual importance.
The carving of the U.S. Presidents on this sacred land has been a source of immense controversy for Native communities. What was once a place of reverence is now a symbol of colonization and violence. The presence of these monuments perpetuates the pain and trauma experienced by Native Americans. Itโ€™s important to recognize and acknowledge the painful history associated with this site.
Reexamining Mount Rushmoreโ€™s history through a Native American lens is crucial for understanding the deeper scars of colonization. Acknowledging the past can pave the way for reconciliation, healing, and mutual respect between all peoples. The truth behind these sacred lands cannot be ignored if we are to move forward as a unified nation. ๐Ÿž๏ธโœŠ
