I have been crocheting since January. Thought I’d share some tips that could help others along the way 😊
-Chenille yarn is not very beginner friendly. Start with something a little stiffer and forgiving where you could actually see your stitches.
- Hook size matters! Pay attention to the suggested hook size for the yarn you’re using.
- When in doubt, frog it out! It’s better to undo a few rows to have a better result, than to get to the end and hate your project. (I’ve finished an entire baby blanket and absolutely hated it! Should’ve started over at round 3 lol)
- Check your work often. This helps to catch mistakes early instead of having a million rows that are wrong. Crochet is not something you can finesse, you will always be able to see mistakes and unevenness.
- Don’t rush. This is a hobby of leisure and love. Take your time and enjoy the process.
Feel free to drop more tips in the comments!
