A foundation
Founded by filmmaker Richard A. Hernandez in 2014. Ramblings have been a hub for local filmmakers, musicians, and content creators to distribute their work. Gathering people from East Los Angeles and the surrounding cities in California, our goal is to provide an opportunity to get exposure for people’s work, that otherwise would be difficult to find on your own.
“The idea for Ramblings came to me at an important time during my beginnings of a filmmaker. There’s always an issue of getting exposure for your work when you’re starting off and maybe even so after years of still working on your craft. It’s a difficult struggle and we all know that feeling. Figuring things out, in the beginning, is often a tough goal, gaining success, improving our work, these are common. So that’s when the idea came to me. To create some sort of community where we can all help one another during that tough phase.” - Richard Alexander
Networking is the essence of things for us at Ramblings. To expand, improve, and grow is our main goal. Our foundation is built upon the work and work ethics provided by talented people who have something they want to create. With a little help with other like-minded people, we believe that work can efficiently be executed to it’s full potential.
From 2014-2019 we’ve helped produce several short films, a podcast, promote music singles, and we have a few more projects that we’ve been working on that we are excited to unveil. In 2017, we began production on our first feature-length film, Midnight Run. A no budget, independent feature, shot on location in East Los Angeles. But we still have a long way to go, the more time we are given, the more products we can work on, so we’re happy to say that this only just the beginning.
