We have identified that food insecurity is a huge issue in the county and we have reached out to some volunteers to discuss how the county is addressing this issue. First we are shining a light on our Ranger volunteers, where three food pantries are in operation. If you are a Ranger resident, these dedicated volunteers are here to help you secure food for your household.

We have the Ranger Reach Pantry housed at the Ranger College campus. This pantry is open Monday and Wednesday 3pm to 5pm and Friday from 10am-1pm (not open on Friday during the summer). Members of the community, students, and employees are welcome to use this pantry, simply fill out a Household Intake Form, and let the staff help prepare your food box!

The Ranger Community Quarter Store also operates a food pantry program. Text the number on the flyer below, set up an appointment, and have a food box catered to your needs.

The Eastside Baptist Church also hosts a food pantry that is open every 3rd Saturday of the month.

These pantries exist to serve their community and ensure that all families are able to eat. This county has individuals ready to help, and we are here to ensure this information is readily available.

Cisco Strong and the Cisco Chamber of Commerce had an amazing crowd for the ribbon cutting of the Lobo Statue. Cisco Strong started to pursue this project in 2018 and here they are now, celebrating a long mission now complete. Cisco Strong president Kalynn Meyer thanked the many sponsors, donors, and members involved in this project and turning it into a reality. It is amazing to see a dedicated group of individuals and a proud community creating a beautiful piece to honor their city.

We want to shine a light on Muddy Mikes in Cisco who is hosting the Muddpie 5K prior to the Cisco Pie Fest! Volunteers and sponsors are being sought after! All proceeds of this event are going to Cisco Strong, a dedicated and strong group of volunteers promoting their city of Cisco! Thank you to Muddy Mikes for their efforts and involvement in volunteer organizations!

MUDDPIE 5K AND FUN RUN 2025 is a little over a month away!

We would love to have your help in making this event a success! We are currently looking for sponsors and volunteers for the day of the event Saturday, October 18th at, or around, 7:30AM. Volunteers would help with check-in and late registrations, water stations, sign placements, and shirt/volunteer bag hand outs.
Last year we doubled in racers, and given the registrations we already have, probably tripling racers this year!

Please message us for more information if you can help that morning or if you would like more information on sponsoring the event! Any help is greatly appreciated and ALL proceeds go directly to Cisco Strong!

Check out Cisco TX Pie Fest for a full list of events during the 2025 Pie Fest!
