...they did it all in the name of self preservation. The individual constituents are way behind in Democrat prioroties. Federal dollars getting funneled to special interest groups is Priority #1 in today's Democrat party.

One year ago today, obstructionist Democrats shut down the FULL government for 42 days:

❌ 670,000 federal workers furloughed
❌ 730,000 federal employees forced to work without pay
❌ National security put at risk
❌ Federal programs vulnerable Americans rely on put in limbo

Their carelessness caused $11 BILLION in economic output projected to be permanently lost.

They shut down the government TWO more times — for a record 120 total days of funding lapses this Congress!

Democrats did this ON PURPOSE because they care more about protecting criminal illegal aliens and enacting their Marxist, anti-America agenda than the American people.

A state board created to review billions of dollars in tax credits and government spending, stopped meeting three years ago and board members refuse to say why.

The board to ensure taxpayer money was spent wisely was created with bipartisan support, but the year before it disappeared, Democrats were accused of trying to fudge some data.

Today, I signed a discharge petition for Senate Bill 1293, legislation that would require schools to designate athletic teams specifically for male or female participants.

I believe women and girls deserve a fair opportunity to compete in sports, and members of the House deserve the opportunity to vote on this legislation. This issue is too important to simply remain in committee without a vote.

The discharge petition is a way to move Senate Bill 1293 out of committee and bring it before the full House. Pennsylvanians deserve to know where their representatives stand, and I believe every member should have the opportunity to go on the record.

I will continue standing up for fairness in women’s sports and supporting our female athletes across Pennsylvania.

Months before news broke of the secret investigation into Lt. Gov. Dale Caldwell’s alleged misconduct involving women and ethics violations, he wrote a letter to the state’s chief ethics officer, contending that his race played a significant role in the allegations now threatening to end his political career.

“While I am troubled by this accusation, as the first single Black man to serve at this level in government, I suspect that there will be other false accusations or rumors in the future,” he wrote in the May 28 letter, which was obtained by BINJE, a business news outlet.

“Unfortunately, in this current political environment, false accusations, especially against people of color, seem to be commonplace,” Caldwell added in the letter.
