Yes, my daughter will ALWAYS have shorts on under her dresses. And apparently that’s controversial.
I don’t care if someone thinks it’s unnecessary.
I don’t care if “she’s just a kid.”
And I definitely don’t care if other parents choose differently.
My daughter runs.
She climbs.
She flips upside down.
She sits however she wants.
Her dress WILL fly up.
And no, I’m not going to teach her to constantly pull her dress down, cross her legs, or worry about whether someone can see her underwear.
I’d rather put shorts underneath and let her be a kid.
She can wear the pretty dress AND hang upside down on the playground.
So yes.
If she’s wearing a dress, there are shorts underneath it. Every. Single. Time.
