Haircare can be as easy as following three simple steps. Though for some Black El Pasoans, factors like the city’s tap water and hot climate aren’t friendly to the tresses of hair on their heads. 🚿☀️

Hair moves in lockstep with culture and identity, so to keep it in keen condition, a simple wash and dry just won’t do; a creed Destiny Nelson has learned since first moving to the Sun City around 15 years ago.💈🪮

This is a monthly routine for the borderland drag queen who hosts the only official Drag Story Hour chapter in the state. Since its ban in March, every page La Dede turned has been a challenge. 👑⏳ 
 
Texas Senate Bill 12 and its ambiguous language brought a wave of scrutiny to drag performances and, in turn, Drag Story Hour. 🚸

In Curry Barker’s Obsession, a timid, “nice guy” uses a cursed “one wish willow” to coerce his crush into reciprocating his romantic interest. In doing so, she loses all control over herself, committing heinous acts to prove her love for him. 💌🩸

This movie and others similar to it have been dubbed by film critics as a growing subgenre called “Incel Horror.” 🕯️🎬

The true villain isn’t traditional paranormal activities, rather male entitlement fueled by insecurity. This subgenre introduces a twist on classic romance and encourages audiences to take a closer look at the “nice guys” around them. 👀

Caught that tiger by the tail! 🐅💥⛏️

UTEP Football returned to the Sun Bowl for its first home game of the season Sept. 12, taking on the Texas Southern University Tigers. 🏈

The Miners donned Texas Western emblazoned uniforms controlling the pace for most of the night, dominating on both sides of the ball and feeding off the energy of the home crowd. 🧡💙

UTEP ran away with a 51-10 victory. 🏆

The Miners will hit the road next to face Michigan before returning to El Paso for their Homecoming matchup against Oregon State on Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Sun Bowl. 🎉

UTEP came alive Friday, Sept. 11, for Minerpalooza 2026, bringing together thousands of Miners for one of the university’s biggest traditions of the year. 🧡💙

Featuring live performances from Frontera Bugalu, Jezzika Sax, Dariel Amant and Battle of the DJs winner DJ Ruub, the UTEP community came together for food, games and a night filled with Miner spirit. 🎸🎶
