In our Fall 2025 issue, writer Sofia Sierra traces the story of Biker Chicks of El Paso—a group of women motorcyclists who turned the rush of the road into a community of solidarity and purpose.
Con fotografía de Salmapaola Baca y bajo la dirección del Editor en Jefe Marco Hinojosa, este reportaje explora las intersecciones entre la emoción, el sentido de pertenencia y la redefinición de lo que significa conducir.

Now is always the time…

In 1948, a plane crash in Los Gatos Canyon erased 28 Mexican farmworkers from history, buried without names, remembered only as “deportees.”

Decades later, UTEP Professor Tim Z. Hernandez heard the silence and chose to break it. What began as curiosity became a decades-long journey of uncovering names, stories, and voices long forgotten.

📖 Part One: The Erasure traces the crash, discovery and Hernandez’s search of this hidden history.
🎥 Part Two: The Documentary follows Hernandez’s next chapter, bringing those voices and his journey to the screen in All They Will Call You.

This isn’t just about the past. It’s about the power of remembering, of naming, of saying presente.

We scroll. We snap. We share… But when was the last time we just lived? 📱

Our latest Between You & Me column asks what’s left of human connection when every glance, laugh, and memory is filtered through a screen. Maybe it’s time to stop capturing and start feeling.
