One of the worst parts about rescue is when you post an innocent post about a dog or asking for help and, somehow, it reaches a lot of people and instead of getting actual help, you are bombarded with ugly, mean, uneducated, and judgmental comments. People really sit there and somehow find something horrible to say to a post that is literally screaming "Help!"

Lately posting on this page has been difficult because of this reason. The joy I get out of posting updates of my dogs and connecting with people here is kinda over because people suck.

What's the point of posting if instead of getting dogs adopted, people come here and unleash all their pent up frustrations?

Do you really think that after a long day that starts at 5:30 am so I can take care of the dogs, go to school, take care of my house, do homework, take care of me, and finally when I lay down at 1am, I really need to come and read a comment that says "your posts are ragebait", "what kind of rescue are you if you can't help", "aren't you a rescue?", "why would you post this if this doesnt have a happy ending?"

Go touch grass.

If you have time to post something horrible to someone who is asking for help or, in this case, someone who is only trying to help an animal, then YOU have too much time on your hands because YOU are not rescuing enough dogs.
Someone busy helping doesn't have time to post ugly things.

All these pups are in the desert and they need immediate help. I've been told that whoever is in charge of this area (Horizon) "can't" help.
I dont have anything to give them nor can I take them all in.

Are there any rescues that can help?
This is heartbreaking.

About a week ago, my husband showed me this dog from one of the dog groups in Juarez. We were completely smitten by him as he looks exactly as one of our other dogs and she has the swetest personality.
The post stated that the person who fed this pup daily moved to another city and was trying to find someone to look after him or adopt him. We decided it would be us!

So my husband was finally able to go to Mexico to look for this pup today and, to our surprise, he found him! One of the neighbors took him in and said my husband was welcome to take him as his older dog wanted to attack him and he just wanted the best for the dog.

The poor dog was full of ticks so my husband began removing them in the back of the truck. Sigh...but then some kids passed by and they said the dog was theirs.

This is a young pup that never got fed, full of ticks, that runs up and down the street the whole day, and whose puppy friends have been run over. Even the neighbor talked to them about the condition the dog was in.
My husband had no choice but to return the pup.

It's disheartening that the parents are ignorant and/or cruel and can't teach their kids how to take care of a pup. They view their dogs as an object. The cycle will continue and these kids will grow up to neglect their pets as well, as this is their "normal". Respect for animals starts in childhood.

This dog deserves better so my husband is going to go tomorrow and talk to their parents and maybe, if they still object, buy the pup from them.

Sometimes you do what you got to do.
Hopefully I have a better update tomorrow.

Hi, everyone! Time for an update! We seem to have less of those these days but I do have valid reasons!

Lately, we haven't brought any more dogs home. The dogs we currently have are just not getting adopted so it would be irresponsible to bring more in. Our current dogs are happy here but I'm sure that they would love getting adopted. If you know anyone that is looking for a loving dog, please let me know!
I also have a waiting list of dogs that need rescue but having 0 fosters and 0 adoptions makes it impossible to save them.

I also started school in Mexico so school, crossing to Mexico daily, and running a rescue is a bit challenging. Of course, this means no time for social media videos and updates and that means less visibility for our dogs. If anyone would like to help us post photos of our dogs, like adoption profiles, or help us take our pups to adoption events, please let me know!

This past week, although I promised I wasn't going to bring in any more dogs, I had to rescue a young mom and her 2 day old pup that were discarded in a street in Mexico. The mom and pup are safe in my home but I would really like to network them and find them their forever home. Anyone have any leads? I will post their story shortly.

We also moved to a new home and setting up dog enclosures has been time consuming. If anyone would like to lend us a hand, please let me know!

Also, this past week we fixed 2 of our long term residents, Lobo and Daisy. Lobo has healed wonderfully. It was all great until Daisy developed a giant bump, the size of a baseball, under her incision last night and her incision opened and spilled her blood all over the floor. I had a long night trying to keep her calm and safe. I took her to the vet today and she had surgery to correct a hernia and seroma and she is now on the path to healing. If you would like to contribute to their vet costs (1 spay, 1 neuter, and corrective surgery), we would greatly appreciate it!

We still have 2 of Daisy's puppies, Rose and Poppy, looking for their forever home. We've had people meet them but I guess it just hasn't worked out. If you would like to sponsor any of them, please let me know!

And last, we haven't had food donations in months, and while I undestand that these dogs are my responsibility, I would greatly welcome any donations. My kind husband provides for our dogs but it would be great to be able to give him a break. I'll attach our linktree in case you wish to donate. If you would like to help us fundraise also, I welcome the help! If you would like to help our dogs get new beds (the old ones got eaten), we would really appreciate it!

As you can see, I pretty much need help in all areas lol but it is what is it!

Every foster home and every adoption creates room for more dogs that are still living in the desert waiting for rescue.

I know where they are. The only thing stopping me from bringing them to safety is space.

If you've ever thought about fostering "just for a little while," this is your sign. You could literally help save multiple lives with one decision.

Daisy has come a long way!

She's the goodest girl and I'm glad we were able to save her and her puppies from the desert. Most of her puppies have been adopted, but Daisy remains waiting.

She is calm, affectionate, and loves to chill. She gets along with boy dogs primarily, or she would also do well in a home with no other dogs.

I know the right home is out there for each of these pups but it is a matter of finding it!
Unfortunately, our posts almost never get shared so our pups are not getting seen.
