We are bringing you our first Visuals & Media Camp happening July 8-10 in El Reno! Whether you're into photography, video, or just want to learn how to create dope content—this camp is for YOU. 20 participants max and we will provide all the content creating kits.

Long-time TV meteorologist Gary England passed on June 10, 2025. Pretty much everyone in Oklahoma knew who he was, had watched him, knew his catch phrases like "Jump back Loretta," and "Friday Night in the Big Town," and had heard of his early days growing up in Seiling, OK.

in 2013, we were there at the first meeting between Gary England and Gordon Yellowman from the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes. The two men shared stories from small-town Oklahoma, and Yellowman answered some of England's questions about the severe weather history of the Tribes. Both men left with a mutual respect and better understanding of each other's history.

Community 362- OKC Tribal Service Center Grand Opening

The Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribe held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of the OKC Tribal Service Center, located at 4400 SW 21st St. The center will house numerous tribal programs and services such as the food pantry, enrollment, education, social services, HOPE, elder care, housing, and the office of governmental affairs.

Community 361- CAYC Cedar Workshop

The Cheyenne and Arapaho Youth Council and the Arapaho Culture and Language Program held a cedar workshop for tribal youth in Clinton, Ok. Students learned about the different types of cedar, how to prepare cedar for cultural purposes and prayer. Students also learned some Arapaho teachings about cedar. Youth Council members worked on their cultural presentations, which they will be demonstrating at the United National Indian Tribal Youth conference later this year.
Cultural instructors included Fred Mosqueda, Regina Youngbear, and Frank MedicineWater.

Community 360- Concho Childcare Center Expansion

The Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribe’s Childcare Program and the Planning and Development Program held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Concho Childcare Center. The center added an extension to the pre-existing building that included three new classrooms, a teacher’s lounge, and a renovation to an existing classroom. The project will continue and will include upgrades to the original building to match the expansion.
