Thankful for the days when there are no teachers and staff in the building so that we can prepare for the new school year.

I didn’t mind being very social when I was younger. Now that I’m older, I like it less and less.
I like conversations that have meaning and are productive.

People always tell me I smile a lot and that I’m always happy.

While these things are true, I still battle demons every day.

What I need people to know is that I CHOOSE to be positive in the midst of these demons because I need that positivity in my life.

Working at school even though school has been out for about a week. School counselors have extended days we must work (and I’m glad we do) to wrap up the school year and to prepare for the new one!

Today is the day we are celebrating my middle child and his best friend’s high school graduation!

I hope he knows and feels that we are so proud of him and his academics and athletics!

I still live by these 3 things today!

This was me, Mrs. Kentucky International 2009. If I hadn’t taken this risk of applying to this pageant, I wouldn’t be as comfortable public speaking.
