👇 helping families make food feel normal again

06/04/2026

Well...that escalated quickly. 😂

Over the last few months we've shared recipes, snack ideas, meal hacks, and food allergy awareness with thousands of families.

The response has been incredible. ❤️

We've met amazing parents.

Learned from your stories.

And watched this community grow far beyond anything we imagined.

Unfortunately, one of the larger groups we've been active in doesn't allow pages, which means we can no longer participate there.

But honestly?

Maybe that's a blessing in disguise. 💙

Because instead of borrowing someone else's community...

We're building our own.

A place where parents can:

🍽️ Share recipes
🛒 Discover safe snacks
📋 Get meal ideas
💙 Spread awareness
🙌 Ask questions without judgment

And most importantly...

A place where food allergy families don't have to feel alone.

If you've ever spent 20 minutes reading a label...
If you've ever packed a "just in case" snack...
If you've ever worried about what your child could safely eat...

This group is for you.

We're on a mission to build the most helpful food allergy community on Facebook.

And we'd love for you to help us do it. ❤️

One of the hardest parts about food allergies isn't the label reading.

It's trying to explain to a child why they're different. 💙

Why they can't always have what everyone else is having.

Why we ask so many questions.

Why we double-check everything.

One of our followers recently sent our daughter a coloring book designed specifically to help kids with food allergies feel seen, understood, and a little less alone.

And honestly?

That hit us right in the heart. 🥹

Here's her story:

"I wrote this coloring book because, honestly, there just weren’t many fun and relatable books out there for kids managing food allergies. This book is inspired by my son and his day-to-day life navigating food allergies with courage, humor, and a whole lot of label reading.

As a parent, I’ll always be an advocate for my kids. Unfortunately, some people still question how serious food allergies really are, which makes awareness and education even more important. My hope is that this book helps other children and families feel seen, supported, and a little less alone while managing their food allergies.

If we can spread awareness, spark conversations, and make a few kids smile along the way, then my son and I consider that a big win. The book is now available on Amazon!!

Thank you so much for supporting our mission and helping us bring more awareness to the food allergy community."

We'll share a few sample pages in the first comments so you can check it out for yourself. 📚

We love supporting people who are making a difference for allergy families. ❤️

I don't know who needs to hear this...

But not every lunch has to be a Pinterest masterpiece. 😭

Sometimes you just need something that everybody eats.

These homemade pizza rolls disappeared so fast I started questioning whether I actually made enough. 😂

And honestly?

Watching everybody happily eat lunch without acting personally offended by it felt like a parenting win.

Summer is wild.

You spend $200 at the grocery store...

And somehow by lunch they're standing in front of the fridge saying:

"There's nothing to eat."

⚠️ Trigger Warning

Some stories hit differently when you live this life.

An 8-year-old boy named Liam reportedly died after experiencing an anaphylactic reaction when he was given a dairy treat instead of the dairy-free treat his family ordered.

As allergy parents, this is the nightmare that never fully leaves the back of our minds.

The questions.

The double-checking.

The label reading.

The asking again just to be sure.

Today we’re thinking about Liam, his family, and everyone who is carrying the weight of food allergies every single day. 💙

If you manage food allergies in your family, what is one thing you wish more people understood about how serious they can be?

Please keep Liam’s loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. 🙏

Please excuse us today…we’ll be unavailable while making core memories. ☀️🚤

The recipes can wait.

The laundry can wait.

The packing can wait.

Today we’re choosing sunshine, lake water, snacks, and hearing “watch this!” approximately 437 times.

Hope you’re finding a little time to enjoy summer too. 🫶

I made homemade fruit roll ups once...

And now apparently I'm expected to do it again. 😭

Because the kids acted like I had personally invented snacks. 😂

And honestly?

Watching them get excited about something this simple and healthy was kind of worth it. 🫶

The best part?

They're made with just a handful of real ingredients you can actually pronounce.

No mystery ingredients.

No snack aisle scavenger hunt.

Just fruit, a little sweetness, and kids who suddenly think you're a genius. 😂

Okay...who was going to tell me tater tot casserole was still this good? 😭

Because I made this fully expecting leftovers.

That was adorable of me. 😂

Everybody went back for seconds.

Even the child who normally looks at dinner like I've personally offended them.

And honestly?

There's something comforting about a meal that doesn't require a culinary degree, 17 ingredients, or a second mortgage.

Just simple food.

Everybody eats.

Nobody complains.

Mom gets a tiny win. 🙌
