If you are considering introducing Missa XVII at a church for Advent this year, we have prepared a series of practice tracks (mp3 and animated score videos) to help congregations learn the chants.

There is also a free PDF (modern stemless transcriptions) suitable for printing as pew cards, which include literal interlinear translations. We have these cards at our cathedral parish, would like to make them available to everyone. Feel free to share these resources with choir directors & priests. (If not for Advent this year, then perhaps for Lent in the spring!)

This position—which is of very ancient origin—is formally reserved to the priest. Lay faithful should stand with traditional "prayer hands" (as they are sometimes called), rather than mirroring the posture of the priest.

Two Kyries in one day?? Yes, friends. Here's the hauntingly-gorgeous Kyrie from Henri duMont's 'Missa Regia'.

(It is seriously worth searching this piece out on YouTube and listening to some of the recordings from live liturgies in France. Could bring a tear to one's eye.)
