Forgiveness is optional and it is ALWAYS ok to opt out.
I was recently telling a story about my mom, and I found myself explaining that I might never forgive her, and that’s ok!
Because, to quote Kesha, in her case as well as my own very different case, “some things never should be forgiven.”
Please, know that taking the “you must forgive to heal” perspective will result in a ban. If that works for you- awesome! But forgiveness is still optional.
