Elmira's Jimi has passed.
If you've been in Elmira for a while, you definitely know a gentleman who bore a striking resemblance to Jimi Hendrix.
It's nice to see the outpouring of love and stories of people's encounters on social media.
Something unique to our city, a lovely man who always had a smile and was in on the "joke."
Kudos to Rich Lavere (I stole your photos..I owe you lunch!), who photoshopped him onto the Elmira sign once, and the picture went viral!
RIP sir! A true Elmira legend.
(I hope you get ot meet the real Jimi.)
