3lb crappie in Missouri before livescope was much cooler. No fancy boat, electronics, or even a net, just what I could afford at the time. I found an area a bunch of big females were pulling up on a certain time before spawn. I still go to that same spot that certain time of year and catch a 3lb crappie with no scope every year.
