Honored to receive a "PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE MONTH" Award SEPTEMBER 2025 from the international Club of Black and White Photography out of 8596 entries.

Step inside Milan’s iconic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, and you’re greeted by a breathtaking glass dome that seems to float above the city’s beating heart. This architectural treasure, built in the 19th century, has become known as Milan’s “living room”—a place where history, art, and fashion converge.

For Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, the artists at Local Tides Artful Creations, 100 A West Venice Ave, Venice, Florida will be donating to organizations helping breast cancer research or awareness. I have chosen to donate profits from the sale of my photo "Stormy Hope". I have a 15" X 20" canvas and several greeting cards for sale at Local Tides Artful Creations.

"Stormy Hope" is a photo taken at sunset on Manasota Beach as a hurricane approached. Stormy Hope captures the moment when light pierces through storm clouds, a reminder that even in life’s darkest moments, hope can prevail. Just as the waves crash and clouds gather, the breast cancer journey brings challenges — but strength, courage, and the support of others bring light, healing, and resilience.

New release!

The Lighthouse Grill and Tiki Bar at Stump Pass Marina in Englewood, Florida, is one of those places where you immediately feel at ease. It sits right on Lemon Bay, just a short distance from Stump Pass State Park, a treasured stretch of sand and sea where the Gulf of Mexico meets the Intracoastal Waterway. Locals know it as a favorite gathering spot for sunsets, fresh seafood, and live music that drifts out across the water.

This photo captures the restaurant’s lighthouse-inspired architecture glowing against the backdrop of a Florida sunset. The calm waters reflect both the soft evening light and the lively energy of friends and families sharing a meal on the deck. It’s Englewood at its best—laid-back, welcoming, and brimming with natural beauty.

I love how this image brings together the things that make coastal Florida so special: the golden hues of sunset, the shimmer of Lemon Bay, and a place where memories are made.

What an impressive FIERCE event last night! It was exciting to see women in various roles getting recognized for their commitments to the community. They are all inspirational. Sunfiercewomen.com

Local Tides Artful Creations was proud to be a part of this event hosted by the Venice Gondolier and the Plantation Golf & Country Club. It was wonderful meeting so many of the other vendors and women at the event.

Have you discovered the Golden Reading Garden
tucked beside the Elsie Quirk Library in Englewood?

The Golden Reading Garden is a true community treasure. This peaceful outdoor space was created in 2015 by the Friends of the Library to celebrate the library’s 50th anniversary.

As you wander along the brick pathways, you’ll find a wonderful mix of plants, flowers, and trees. It’s a place where children gather for story time, groups meet under the shade, and readers can enjoy a quiet moment surrounded by nature.

Whether you’re visiting the library for a good book or just looking for a calm spot to recharge, the garden is open to all and waiting to be enjoyed.
