Weather conditions will be quiet for much of the region tonight.
Tracking a cold front that will stall a bit over the Yucatan into Wednesday with cloudiness and scattered showers. Besides this, much of the region should be dry tonight.
Hurricane Nigel continues to harmlessly spin in the North Atlantic with winds near 90 mph. Nigel will continue to move away from the Caribbean, and into cooler waters. LEE UPDATE: Now a strong tropical storm, "Lee" is expected to develop into a major hurricane late this week. Meteorologist A.J. Mastrangelo has an update on the latest track and what the northeast Caribbean can expect come this weekend.
No tropical cyclones expected expected to impact the Lesser Antillies this week. However, the Inter Tropical Convergent Zone and a strong tropical wave will keep things active the next couple of days.

TROPICAL STORM WARNINGS ISSUED. IT IS TIME TO PREPARE.
Tropical Bret expected to near the islands tomorrow with flooding rains, strong winds and dangerous seas. As of the 11 a.m. advisory from the National Hurricane Center, Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for St. Lucia, while Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for Barbados, Dominica and Martinique .
Currently, Bret contains winds of 60 mph.

A a frontal boundary stalls across the Northwestern Caribbean, showers and thunderstorms will remain in the forecast for this part of the region through Saturday. Umbrellas will come in handy!
Mainly dry across the Windward islands this week with some cloudy intervals. Rounds of Saharan Dust are expected to reduce visibility at times.

Hurricane Ian continues to become more organized. Tropical storm conditions are currently being felt on Grand Cayman Island. Ian could become a major hurricane later tonight as it approaches Cuba.
Category 3 Hurricane Fiona is bearing down on Grand Turk Island. The center is just east of Cockburn Town. Winds near the center are around 115 mph.
