Is it morning anymore? No.

Do I still want to sit for a chat? Yes.

The toddler (aka Miss Nittany Louanne 🐶 ) has started picking up more shifts this week… The baby LOVES her.

She is the official Timmy time coach. And she’s exhausted as you can see. It’s hard work taking care of a baby all the time she says. 😮‍💨

She’s side eyeing me because I told her to watch the baby while I putter around for a few minutes during her morning sleep time. 😂

Call me crazy, but one of my favorite parts of spring are the sprawling dandelions! 🌼

Which got me thinking the other day, Buffalo does “No Mow May” and I love that. We don’t have that here in northwest PA, but it would be cool if we started the trend!

Why consider "No Mow May"?

Pollinator Support: Provides critical early-season nectar for bees and butterflies.

Water Retention: Taller grass helps the soil hold moisture and reduces runoff.

Biodiversity: Creates a temporary habitat for beneficial insects in your local ecosystem.

Emission Reduction: Less mowing means a smaller carbon footprint for the month.

With all that being said, I’m not the one that takes on the mowing chore at this house so I don’t know how not mowing for the month of May would make things harder???

For my mowers out there, could you let me know? Does waiting make it more difficult???

Grab your coffee! ☕️ Today’s April Refresh is all about those little shifts.

For me, it’s officially Spring the second I hear the birds start their morning concert at 6:00 AM. 🐦 It makes the early wake-ups so much sweeter. Between that and finally making progress on some crochet projects, I’m really leaning into this season of slow growth. 🧶🌷

Today’s question: What is the ONE thing that officially makes it feel like Spring for you? Is it the birds? The windows down? The first bloom? Let’s hear it! 👇

Reflection: What have you been 'planting' lately? Whether it’s a new habit or just a better mindset, remember that growth doesn't have to be loud to be real. Be patient with yourself today.

Okay, I have to ask:

Why are you Buffalonians so incredible to me? 🥹

I moved away three years ago, yet you guys show up for me.

Is it the Polish roots?

Is it the shared love for morning coffee? ☕️

Seriously though, I can hop on here and talk about ANYTHING BUT the weather, and you’re always there to listen and engage.

You truly live up to the 'City of Good Neighbors' title. Ive seen it in action in person and here through the screen.

Even from a distance, it’s so evident why you’re a hidden gem. Don’t ever change, Buffalo!

I'm so grateful for you. ❤️ 💙

Just wanted to hop on and say thank you for sticking around! I know I’m not your local MET anymore, but it means the world that you guys find me interesting enough for daily coffee shenanigans 😉

The forecast is messy with a high chance of weeds! ☁️ Moving the coffee convo outside today to show you the baby, the caffeine, and the absolute mess that is my garden.

I have the supervisor (👶) ready, I just need a plan! Give me all your best tips—what should I plant first? Help a girl out! 👇

I hope your day is full of sunshine and your coffee taste just right 😋
