LIFEThruMusic Christmas Concert 2020
Hello Friends & Supporters,
This year has been a very challenging year. We wanted to spread a little joy this season with some Christmas Music from our students. We are so proud of this group! Due to social distancing recommendations we weren't able to have rehearsals. Our students had to practice on their own time and be prepared to record. Special thanks to our parents that make sure their kids are practicing daily!

Today at 7:00pm we will be hosting a free virtual beginner piano class via Facebook Live & YouTube. The instructor for this course will be Pastor Darrell Cook. Pastor Cook is the Founder of Christ Community Church & Sons of Thunder Productions a music education platform for aspiring piano players with thousands of followers worldwide. Darrell has over 20 years of playing and teaching experience. In this course you will learn the basics of piano theory and how develop your ear to play basic songs you hear in on the radio. This course is aimed at beginners but we encourage all levels to come join in and brush up on the fundamentals. This course will also be interactive so come prepared for a live question & answer period during and at the end of the livestream.

Tre Lambert Performance & Lesson

We are excited to launch a new series having conversations with music/entertainment industry professionals to get their knowledge & experience on what it’s like to be a professional at the highest levels. They will also take questions and give advice/encouragement to our groups of up & coming young musicians.
We started this series off with Tre' Lambert! 2x Grammy Award Winning musician, Christian & Entrepreneur. Tre has played for TreWay & The Now Generation,Tye Tribbett, Future, Migos, Meek Mill, Bebe Rexha, The Jonas Brothers & Marsha Ambrosius to name a few. LifeLiving Class Pt. 1
Last week we traveled to Harrisburg, PA to record a series of LifeThruLiving courses designed to give families different options for meals and snacks during this time in quarantine & home schooling. All of the recipes we will be sharing throughout this series consists of 5 ingredients or less.
Leading this series is Mrs. Kim Williams, a trained Chef with years of experience working at Hershey, Elizabeth Town College, Edinboro University, Churches and her home to name a few.
Our first installment is a Sausage Burrito. This is a great breakfast item that can be prepared and last up to 3 days if you decide to make extras.

In the midst of Covid-19 and adjusting to our new current reality, LIFE has remained committed and focused on providing quality programming for the youth we serve.
In the last 3 months we have live streamed 3 concerts, added 2 virtual classes and this week were hosting a virtual camp for our campers in Asbury Park, NJ. Also this week we will be in Harrisburg recording healthy cooking classes (LIFE/Living) for students and families looking for quick cost effective healthy option while quarantined at home.
We will continue to offer programs and services in a safe and effective manner.

Today at 4 p.m.: members of Gannon's Black Student Union - in collaboration with the members of the Association of Black Collegians of Penn State Behrend and Lifethrumusic - will present, Cultural Crossroads: Our Story Told Through Rhymes, Rhythms, and Reflections.

"This Saturday's Cultural Crossroads will include speakers from both Gannon and Penn State Behrend reading poetry and prose, as well as a reading of Amanda Gorman's inaugural poem “The Hill We Climb.” A representative from Gannon’s International Hispanic Association will read a poem titled “Poema,” and members of Lifethrumusic will put on dance and vocal performances.
“I think people will be impressed with the talent of these young people,” Parris Baker, Ph.D. said.
The title of the event, “Cultural Crossroads,” is important to emphasize, Baker said. Celebration of Black history is important, but the polarized political and cultural climate that exists today creates an environment in which it is necessary to help people see that celebration of any one culture involves everyone."
