Hi there! I'm an alum (from a different department) but my company is hiring an entry-level communications coordinator in the Washington, DC area. If you're interested, you can find the application here:

Hi! I'm hiring in Cleveland.
Hi all, We are currently reaching out with an opportunity for communication studies graduate students or faculty from other academic institutions. As many of you may know, NCA is coming up and we would like to put together a panel under the Burke Society division. This is an excellent opportunity to present and expand upon original research in the field. The theme of the convention is "survival" and our particular focus is on #MeToo movement (most probably through a Burkean analysis). Ideally, we would love to consider submitting our panel to Burke Society. We are looking to team up with three or four representatives from other institutions who are interested in exploring this area further. The deadline is approaching and we are planning to submit our application on March 26th. If you are interested to know more or claim your spot on the panel, please send an email to [email protected] or [email protected] We're looking forward to hearing from you and potentially working together.
Bill Welch was one of my comm professors when I was at Mercyhurst. Now he's helping report the weather in Erie for my station, Cleveland 19 News. Brian R. Sheridan is going to be a guest via FaceTime on our 4:30 p.m. show. It streams on cleveland19news.com, our free app, the Cleveland 19 News page and Roku and Amazon Fire.
Luke the Laker stopped by the Comm department today! And he made an appearance in this article! http://www.collegemagazine.com/mercyhurst-university-fans-better-gannon/ #LakerPride
heads up communications majors and/or film geeks: Australia's Lost Gold is a new documentary, fresh out of theatres, that will probably blow your mind like it did mine. ever thought about becoming a journalist through FILM? me neither, till i saw how easy, successful, and impactful creating a documentary can be if you have at least half as much passion as director Luke Walker does. this is one you'd have to see for yourself to get me, so i've attached a link to iTunes where you can preorder the fascinating documentary about Australian lore and watch it tomorrow!!
