Someone once asked me what my most favorite musical moment was.

It was a song written by an Austrian in 1818, sung by an immigrant. That immigrant was my mother.

I peeked through a partially open door into a dark bedroom. My mother was sitting next to the bed holding my dying Mother-in-laws hand. She was singing in German a song most of you may know better from the Bing Crosby recording. The little bit of light was enough to see the tears rolling down both of their faces.
