Hey all! I realized that I made a pretty gnarly mistake on The Silence poster and trailer. A new version of the trailer will be forthcoming with an updated poster for your viewing pleasure. Last night we watched the final version of the edit of The Silence. THE FINAL ONE! We were satisfied and happy and rendered it overnight. I checked it this morning and it was pristine! I hand this copy to Casey E Faris to color and we'll jump headlong into recording sound effects and ambience in the meantime. Also, yesterday I gave all of the visual effects shots to DL Watson. Our goal is to be done by the first of August. The EIFF deadline is August 7th. Submit or bust!

The Silence was just handed over to my good friend and audio guy Gavin Paul Cunningham to start having sound effects logged and recorded/layed in. Awesome! In two weeks Michael Sherman and Sam Lisa Chambliss will be going to the coast and getting a handful of sunset and sunrise time lapses to finish off the final edit. So, in three weeks, we'll be turning in all clips that need visual effects then color and music!

DarkBird Productions has come a long way. What started out as a kind of joke on a school project, is slowly turning into a fledgling production company. Someday we hope to have a space to call home, and a family of like minded people to work with. DarkBird is on the rise!! Thanks to all of those who spent their time and sometimes their money on our projects. :)
