⚠️ YOU CAN RUN, BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE — Euless (Drone 🏆)

4:14 PM · Euless Police

Five minutes after getting the call for the Great Potty Training Incident of 2026 (see previous post), Euless PD had a real one.

A possible shoplifter was reported at Target in Euless. Within minutes, the Euless PD drone was in the air. It identified a suspect leaving in a vehicle, tracked it to a nearby parking lot, and kept eyes on it long enough for patrol units to locate the vehicle, pull it over, and make contact.

One subject was at least arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Launched in July 2025 (no pun intended), this is what the drone program is for. Fast. Precise. No chase needed. The suspect never knew it was up there.

Euless PD does a lot with what they have and Euless businesses and residents are lucky to have it. Also, posts like the last one are a good reminder of what they're also out here handling every single day.

Bravo, Euless Police Department!

👶THINGS YOU HEAR ON THE SCANNER — Euless

4:09 PM · Euless Police

Euless Police were called to a home on Starlight Court after a citizen reported - and we are not making this up - that their neighbor's 2-3 year old used their yard for #1 potty training. The subject is no longer on scene - possibly because it's nap time?

Yes. This is a real call.

We don't make the news. We just report it.

🚨 MAJOR ACCIDENT (and Free PSA to Newer NE Tarrant Texans!) - Grapevine

12:40 PM · Grapevine Fire / EMS

A major accident was reported on the 300 to 500 block of SH-121 southbound at the Texan Trail exit, with a vehicle coming to rest approximately 15 feet off the roadway, according to scanner traffic.

Traffic is building back toward Coppell and Lewisville.

From someone who has traveled these roads for years - here's some free advice. Anytime this stretch backs up (and it backs up a lot!), you have options. Exit at Grapevine Mills Boulevard and stay on the frontage road through Bass Pro Drive, or turn right on Bass Pro Drive to hop on Highway 26/Northwest Highway and bypass the backup all the way to Texan Trail, where you can get back on SH-121 southbound near Main Street. See the map for today's incident with both alternate routes highlighted. (and no this post is not an ad for all of the car dealerships that line this part of the frontage road! 🤣)

In exchange for this free advice, us long-time Texans only ask one thing - stop driving slow in the left lane. Deal? 😁

🚨 MAJOR ACCIDENT / DWI ARREST — Grapevine / Southlake

1:49 AM · Grapevine Fire / EMS / Grapevine Police / Southlake Police

A driver in a large SUV who refused to stop for police in Southlake ended up striking another vehicle near 1000 SH-114 eastbound on the Frontage Road near William D. Tate in Grapevine and struck another, according to two different city scanners.

The suspect’s SUV came to rest on its driver’s side door, trapping the driver inside. Officers held at the scene and waited for medics to arrive before removing the driver from the vehicle.

The driver was transported to Baylor Scott & White Grapevine in stable condition and was arrested for suspicion of DWI. Grapevine worked the accident part of the scene while Southlake worked the DWI part. Medic 4, Medic 8, Truck 7, and Battalion 7 responded and Southlake PD escorted the suspect to the hospital with Grapevine medics.

🔥 GRASS FIRE (caused by transformer?) - Southlake

12:23 PM · Southlake Fire

A grass fire was reported at North Carroll Avenue and East Highland Street in Southlake, according to scanner traffic. Battalion 1, Engine 1, and Brush 481 are responding.

With temperatures up and grass dry across the area, this is a good reminder to never discard cigarette butts or anything burning out of a vehicle window or into grassy areas.

UPDATE: Crews report the fire was caused by a transformer on a nearby power pole. So maybe the real reminder today is, with temperatures scorching across North Texas, that we are all pushing the power grid to its limits. Use wisely! 😁
