Hey there!

It's been a long time.

I created a petition to save Six Flags St. Louis - because not only is rumored to be at risk of a sale to a company by the name of Enchanted Parks, but the park has been in a state of decline for decades due to corporate-level neglect.

As the third and last of the Six Flags theme parks conceived and built under the supervision of company founder Angus Wynne, I believe it is crucial that this historic park not only stays within the company for the long term but is given a chance to truly thrive as it once did. This does not necessarily mean the park needs massive new coasters and rides right away; management simply needs to rekindle that sense of wonder that inspired previous generations and has been lost with constant corporate shakeups and budgetary constraints.

If you would like to help make an impact and preserve a place that means so much to so many of us, please consider signing my petition.

Thank you!

Sad news. Cady Groves played at the Old Glory Amphitheatre in 2010 as part of the Bamboozle Roadshow. Our thoughts are with her family.

The "This Little Girl" singer, whom her brother said died of "natural causes," is the third member of her family to die at age 30 or younger.

Happy 20th anniversary to the The Boss! This monstrous wooden roller coaster opened to the public on April 29, 2000, and is located in the Britannia section of the park. Designed by Dennis McNulty and Larry Bill and manufactured by Custom Coasters International (CCI), The Boss is 4,631 feet long (originally 5,051 feet prior to the 2018 helix removal), and reaches speeds of up to 66.3 mph. Have you been on The Boss? What are your favorite memories of this SFSL classic?

Happy 44th birthday to the Screamin' Eagle! 🦅

Today is the Screamin' Eagles 44th Birthday! The Screamin' Eagle opened on April 10, 1976 for America’s Bicentennial. When it opened the Guinness World Records listed it as the tallest, fastest, and longest wooden roller coaster. We can't wait to ride it again soon.

The Entry Plaza is finally getting a much-needed renovation for the 2020 season! The old ticket booths that had been in use since 1971 have been fully demolished, and obviously the paving is being redone, with what looks like a new planter in the center! It is also noteworthy that several of the genuine early 1900s-era gaslight lamps have been removed from their former spots, though those are expected to just be moved and will not be gone permanently. The new Plaza will be open when the park reopens on March 18!

Opening day is on March 18! Here's a sneak peek of what we've been working on this winter.

The History of SFSTL Insider

SFSTL Insider started off as two separate fan pages on Instagram: SFSTL Fright Fest Fanpage, a fan page for Six Flags St. Louis’ annual Fright Fest event, and SFSTL Fanpage, a fan page for the rest of the season.

SFSTL Fright Fest Fanpage was created on February 25, 2014 by Six Flags Insider founder Chris Graslie, and was the first ever dedicated fan page for the event.

With the popularity of the page in its first year, Chris later created SFSTL Fanpage for the rest of the park’s season on May 29, 2015.

Both SFSTL Fright Fest Fanpage and SFSTL Fanpage ceased operations on January 7, 2018, and both accounts were merged to create the singular SFSTL Insider on January 8, 2018.
