My favored projected routes of soon to be Imelda. Not a fan of any of them, especially the green and light blue. Looking at possible landfall between Savannah, Charleston, Myrtle Beach and North Carolina. I think it’s possible it could reach a Cat 3 Hurricane, but I’m still showing Tropical Storm/ Cat 1 hurricane as of right now, still really early. Regardless, a TON of rain is a guarantee. Will keep updating

Invest 94L possibly soon to be Imelda. Been tracking the last 24 hrs. Too early to call but I strongly believe IF this becomes a strong hurricane, people west of Columbia, SC won’t get the worst of it, however we could be looking at a TON of rain if it swirls around and around like the models are showing. Will have more in depth update soon. But for now, to be safe, I’d consider taking precautions but I wouldn’t panic just yet.

Not seeing anything major developing. It’s been a boring hurricane season and that’s perfectly fine with me, hope it stays that way.

Hurricane Erin models (which seem all aligned) hopefully turn out correct.
As of right now we have North Carolina saying “We don’t want any, but thanks anyway.”

Here’s why I CANNOT say with 100% confidence that Hurricane Erin will not impact the United States. Look at the models from 48 hours ago vs the actual outcome so far…they have ALL been wrong. Black line shows actual outcome so far vs all the other models. Not just slightly off but WAYYY off. I’m having doubts of it making a sharp turn out into the Atlantic, I still think it will turn, but not as sharp as the models indicate. I think the next 72 hrs will be critical, it will need to start turning sharply soon.
