Hurricane Erin models (which seem all aligned) hopefully turn out correct.
As of right now we have North Carolina saying “We don’t want any, but thanks anyway.”

Here’s why I CANNOT say with 100% confidence that Hurricane Erin will not impact the United States. Look at the models from 48 hours ago vs the actual outcome so far…they have ALL been wrong. Black line shows actual outcome so far vs all the other models. Not just slightly off but WAYYY off. I’m having doubts of it making a sharp turn out into the Atlantic, I still think it will turn, but not as sharp as the models indicate. I think the next 72 hrs will be critical, it will need to start turning sharply soon.

While Hurricane Erin will strengthen and should still sling off into the Atlantic, wait for what the end of the newest model shows…..😐

Seeing a slight deviation in other models vs the forecast. This shows Erin not turning as fast as earlier projections, around 65-80 miles further southwest. I think it will swing but if it doesn’t swing early enough, the Carolina coasts could be affected. Very possible becoming a Cat 4 hurricane as well. Will have a better idea after this weekend.

Tropical Storm Erin Update: HIGH chance Erin will be upgraded to an official hurricane soon. Some models I have seen have this Hurricane becoming a Cat 4. So far, it looks like it will most likely be pushed out to the Atlantic, however, still WAY TOO EARLY to get a solid prediction. What you’re seeing is the projected wind speeds, some reaching 140mph. Hopefully this model remains true.

Latest models showing soon to be Hurricane Erin coming ALOT closer to the east coast than 24 hours ago. This is a far out projection model but still shows it getting tossed back out into the Atlantic. Will keep watching and updating as newer projections come in
