On January 11, James Sanders will be performing a classical music concert with the French Quartet for our Second Sunday Salon series at the beautiful Colvin House located on Sheridan Road in Chicago's Edgewater Neighborhood. The string quartet will be exploring the music and creativity of Debussy, Dvorak, Puccini, Chevalier St. George, and Borodin in this presentation.

In addition to music, there will be poetry from Elizabeth Marino and live painting Lewis Achenbach. This should be a lovely evening, and if you arrive a little early, Lake Michigan is just a few steps away across the street. Link to tickets: https://conta.cc/49t4M1R

12.14.25 WORDS • Ivan Ramos (iRise) - has dedicated the last twenty years to teaching, writing, and performing poetry. iRiSe has performed and collaborated with a diverse range of Chicago's talent—including musicians, producers, D.J.'s, and fellow poets. This collaborative spirit has allowed him to add his poetic voice into the rich tapestry of Chicago’s musical and spoken word landscape.

Ivan's artistic work is the driving force behind his advocacy for all people. His poetry is not just performance; it is a catalyst for dialogue and understanding, fueling his dedication to social justice, equity, and empowerment for all indigenous and marginalized communities.
