FishHook, Sigma Tau Delta, and SWU are hosting two competitions!

We're looking for works that reflect or comment on nature. There will be winners for Prose works and winners for Art & Photography.
Share with your friends and spread the word!

Rules & Guidelines:
- Only students of the University of Southern Indiana are eligible to enter.
- Submissions are due by 11:59 p.m. CST on April 17, 2024.
- Submissions must be emailed to [email protected] with a Contributor Release Form. (Written submissions should be submitted as Microsoft Word files, and images should be sent as 300 DPI .tiff or .jpg attachments. Contributor Release Form can be found at www.usi.edu/liberal-arts/english/fishhook)
- There is no word/picture minimum or maximum.
- Students are welcome to enter both Prose and Art/Photography competitions.
- The Art/Photography Contest will be judged by Kaitlen Wood and Emalee Jones, who cannot enter the contest.
- The Prose Contest will be judged by MonteLee Norton and McKenna Love, who cannot enter the contest.
- Winners for each contest will be announced on April 23, 2024.
- Winners will be published in Volume 13 of FishHook.

This will be during the regular SWU meeting time, so there will not be an official SWU meeting.

We're excited to present our first writing competition! Who can create the best scary story that will spook the judges? 👻

The top three winners will also be featured in FishHook, USI's student literary magazine!

Rules & Guidelines:
- Only students of the University of Southern Indiana are eligible to enter.

- Submissions must be emailed to [email protected] as Microsoft Word files.
- To be published in FishHook, contestants will need to fill out a contributor form at https://www.usi.edu/liberal-arts/english/fishhook
- There is no length minimum or maximum.
- The contest will be judged by the SWU president (Denise McKenzie) and vice president (MonteLee Norton), who cannot enter the contest.
