A little over a year ago, I published A Fiend in Sheep’s Clothing, the first book in my American Apostasy Series.
I wrote the book because I believed the LORD had impressed upon me a particular message to share with the American Christian community.
Since its publication, I’ve been incredibly grateful for the messages and conversations I’ve had with readers who shared that the book challenged them, strengthened their discernment, and helped them in their Christian walk.
For me, that has been the greatest reward—knowing that the message has reached people and borne fruit in their lives.
And now, the journey continues.
Book II of the American Apostasy Series:
THIEVES IN THE TEMPLE
The Insidious Seduction of the American Christian
The first book examined deception.
The second will examine seduction.
Thieves in the Temple will certainly confront the rampant sexual immorality that has found its way into American Christianity—but the seduction runs much deeper.
America has many idols, and the Church has not remained untouched by them.
Comfort. Wealth. Politics. Celebrity. Entertainment. Success. Self.
Their influence can increasingly be seen in how churches are operated, how worship services are conducted, what is preached from the pulpit, and even in how biblical truth is sometimes displaced by institutional statements of faith, cultural manifestos, and carefully constructed positions that receive greater emphasis than the Word of God itself.
The question at the heart of this book is not simply, “What sins have entered the Church?”
It is:
What has seduced the American Christian away from wholehearted devotion to God—and what has been stolen from the Church in the process?
Thieves in the Temple is not being written to affirm us in everything we already believe or to leave us feeling good about ourselves.
It is being written to challenge us.
To examine what we believe against the Word of God.
To recognize the idols we may have embraced without realizing it.
To confront areas of compromise.
To strengthen our discernment.
And ultimately, to help us grow and mature as followers of Jesus Christ.
That is the purpose of the American Apostasy Series: not condemnation for condemnation’s sake, but a call to examination, repentance, spiritual maturity, and a return to wholehearted devotion to God.
