Episode 8 of season 5 of The Chi was truly inspiring, and I was particularly impressed by the profound conversation between Emmett and his dad. Emmett wanted advice on how to talk to his son about the birds 🐦 and the 🐝’s, and Darnell admitted that he hadn’t always chosen the right path, which meant he wasn’t around to have that talk with Emmett when he was a young boy, thereby depriving him of the necessary information to pass down to the next generation. Emmett soon discovered that the conversation was hard because nobody had prepared him for it as a young man. However, his dad made a very insightful point: 'The generation behind us always gotta fix everything we broke.' What do you think about this scene? Don’t you think it’s essential for young men to hear and understand?

Emmett has grown sooo much since the beginning 🥹 it’s like watching a little brother become a man. I feel like out of the entire cast his character development has been the best. Keshia, Jake and Bakari as well. Poppa went backwards and started getting on my nerves and Tiff won’t ever stop being a bird 🤷🏽‍♀️😂 she been leaving EJ since Season 1 Episode 1 🙄
